Seven racecards feature on Tuesday afternoon, with both selections from Rizzel coming at the south coast venue of Brighton.
Brighton 1:35
Class 6 handicaps are often a minefield of finding the best handicapped horse, or the horse who will appreciate a drop in class etc. I'm opting for the horse who is in form, and will potentially appreciate a step-up in trip. ATTABOY ROY is my fancy in the third race at Brighton, trained by North Yorkshire based trainer, David Barron.
David send his charge on a 600 mile round trip from Maunby in North Yorkshire, to the sunny south coast of Brighton. To no surprise, this is David's first runner at the track, in the last 5 years, but this could be longer as the Racing Post only state the last 5 years. This stat alone tells me he really likes the chances of his horse, otherwise he wouldn't send him, and could've saved him for a more local track like Ripon or Catterick etc.
In his recent runs it seemed likely that an extra furlong would bring out improvement. He seems a strong stayer over the 6f trip, so the extra yardage should hopefully eek out that little bit of improvement needed to get his head in front.
Brighton 3:20
George Boughey is rapidly becoming a trainer to recognise. The ex-assistant trainer to Hugo Palmer, who is enjoying his third year as a trainer, is currently operating at a 27% SR for the season, which is up there with the best like Gosden & O'Brien, he seems to place his horses extremely well.
WIDAAD, won easily last time out at Newmarket, beating the second by 1.25 lengths, who in turn was 5 lengths in front of the third. It took a little while for Nicola Currie to get the daughter of Muhaarar into top-gear, but when she did, she was impressive, and looked much better than her mark of 66. She races with a 5lb penalty due to that win happening four days ago, but I don't think that will be enough to stop her. If she's is good form and is fit and healthy to run today, she could do something similar like she did at Newmarket. This race is arguably stronger, but she just seems to be well-handicapped off a mark of 71.
Nicola has a 13% SR at the track, and seems to ride it well, and is in good form herself (25% SR in the last 14 days).

I think Rizzel’s tip (Widaad) in the 3:20 at Brighton looks very good. Not a day to go to the cash point.
