Unfortunately, the rain came a bit too late for Like A Tiger who had to run on ground which was probably far too quick for him. He travelled nicely into the race, but he doesn't possess the same turn on foot on that type of ground as the others in the field.

Newmarket 4:00 – Vadream 18/1 (1pt EW 4pl WHill)

I was doing a rain dance for Like A Tiger but the rain came too late, I'll be doing the same for Vadream who also prefers a slower surface. This mare is a very good sprinter when she gets her conditions and I think if the forecast rain makes the ground anywhere from good to soft to soft, we're in business.

This is her first try over 5f and I think that will be fine for her. She possesses a lot of speed and stays 6f out very well, so if you combine the hopefully testing ground, the track and the speed from the 5f, she will come out on top as she will be staying on strongly when others are flagging and she'll handle the conditions better than any other in the race.

She has some good form to her name, and her recent win on seasonal reappearance was very impressive. She might be overlooked in this contest, as she is a mare lining up against the males, but I think she is a huge player.

Newmarket 5:15 – Shaquille 3/1 (2pt)

We haven't seen Julie Camacho's Shaquille this year, but he is a very big player based on the form of his juvenile season and he will have improved plenty over the winter months.

When I said we haven't seen this horse, that's a lie, we did see him up at Newcastle but he decided he didn't fancy running on the All-Weather Championship day and refused to enter the stalls, so we did see him on a racecourse, but not running. He was very well fancied for that race before being pulled out and I think that's significant as we haven't seen him, he was running in a competitive race, yet this market vibes were strong.

The form of his 2yo campaign was good, which saw him win on his last two starts, once on the turf and then on the AW at Wolverhampton. The turf win looks decent with the 2nd, 3rd and 6th all boosting the form to a decent level. That run gives me confidence if the rain comes that he'll be okay, as that was on good to soft and he handled that with ease. The AW win has seen the 2nd and 4th win since, and the 3rd has gone up a fair few pounds in the handicap without winning.

Goodwood 1:55 – Araminta 16/1 (1pt PaddyPower)

I think the fact you can get 18/1 or similar odds on Araminta is a bit crazy.

Yes, she has to improve from her winning debut effort to get involved in this, but that was an impressive start to her career and when you take into consideration she ran to a rating of 88 off one run and she will have probably needed that run, it's a great starting point. Being a 3yo there's plenty of improvement to come from her, but also she receives a lot of weight from the older horses, and based on that, she doesn't have to find tonnes with her receiving 13lbs from all but one horse in the race.

Her pedigree suggests she'll handle the soft ground, but also the way she sliced through the soft ground on debut makes me want it to absolutely pour down at Goodwood as I think she will handle that ground better than most, apart from maybe Zellie who had some good pieces of form as a juvenile and ran well in the 1000 Guineas last year.

Henry Candy doesn't have too many horses these days, but he is doing great so far this year, with him operating at a 23% SR and a 30% in the last 14 days. Henry isn't one to rush horses, so the fact he has put this young filly into a Class 1 race on just her second start suggests they think a lot of her and that she won't be out of place.

Goodwood 4:20 – Kuwait City 9/1 (1pt EW 3pl B365)

Kuwait City was put up last Friday when the Sandown card was abandoned due to the bad ground conditions, I had him tipped up for the opening race that day and this is the race which he was meant to run in but it is at Goodwood instead.

Ground conditions at Goodwood are currently good to soft, but they are expecting a couple of millimetres of rain before racing so the ground will more than likely turn to soft, similar to what I was expecting at Sandown. I put up Kuwait City thinking he would handle the ground much better than those in the race last week, and the same comments apply, even though there are a couple of different faces.

I think he is much better than the opening odds of 12/1 would suggest and this time last week he opened up at decent odds and was backed into favourite when they noticed he handles soft conditions, so I'm expecting him to go off much shorter.

He is drawn 7 of 7 which is a bit of a concern as that will put him against the rail and he isn't normally one to race prominently so he'll have a wall of horses in front of him. Hopefully, they have a different plan if he breaks well and they try and make the running and make full use of the good draw.

Thirsk 3:40 – Pisanello 6/1 (1pt EW 4pl)

I like the angle of when a horse goes close in a race one year and connections decide to go back for the same race 12 months on, and that is the case with Pisanello.

Pisanello finished 3rd in this race last year off a 1lb higher mark, which is effectively a 6lb higher mark as Mark Winn rides Pisanello today and he takes off a very handy 5 lbs. There is a lot of rain expected to fall at Thirsk and that should change the going to soft at the very least, if the forecast is true. Though Pisanello has been running well on faster surfaces he was a dual Soft ground winner when trained in France, including a Class 1 Listed race a few years ago, so maybe his optimal conditions have been on a testing surface and he's just not been lucky enough to race on them all too often when being trained in England.

The time off the track doesn't bother me as he won on seasonal reappearance last year after 200 days off the track off a handicap mark of 77, which is what he races off today when you take Mark Winn's claim into consideration. This race is obviously a tough one, but he is weighted to go well and we all know how good David O'Meara is with these kinds of races of 7f – 1m and he'll have Pisanello spot on for this race.

Doncaster 5:55 – Louella 33/1 (0.5pt EW Paddy)

You can often find some decent value in 2yo races, it's just a big gamble going for the ones who are unraced as you don't know what to expect and you're simply going off pedigrees. However, I think the market is massively overlooking the pedigree of Louella.

Invincible Army is a new Sire to the breeding ranks and he has already had a winner from last weekend with Richard Hannon's Love Billy Boy winning on debut on good to soft ground, recording and RPR of 88. Apparently, a lot of the Invincible Army's are very tuned up and look very good for 2yo's, being big and strong and precocious, which isn't a surprise as Invincible Army was like that himself, he was a great-looking horse and was very good as a juvenile.

Doncaster, like most of the tracks today, is expecting a fair amount of rain, so you'll want a horse who will handle the soft ground. I think Louella could handle today's conditions better than the rest based on her pedigree. She is a half-sister to Punchbowl Flyer who is a soft ground specialist sprinter, winning 7x so far and has recorded a peak RPR of 108. The Dam won on soft ground and even Invincible Army won on soft ground and his first winner as a Sire won on good to soft, so that's encouraging.

At odds of 20/1 +, I think she is worth a play, especially when you consider Roger Fell won this race 2 years ago with a newcomer and this filly will be in receipt of plenty of weight with Jonny Peate taking off 5lbs. The race which Roger Fell won this race he won it with a filly and a 5lb claimer, it seems all a bit too much of a coincidence.

Recoba , can you find horse FINGAL ——- running Saturday in USA , jockey said he would be in Virginia/ Delaware at weekend. ? 🤞😎

    • recoba 1 year ago

No problem Yonus, it’s running at Great Meadow race course in Virginia as you say in Race 7 and be about 6/1.
It’s a 4 year old whose Sire is Noble Mission/ UK?
Good sire that and winnable race.
      It’s Stats are as follows
      14 starts
      3 wins
      2 seconds
      3 thirds
      👍
BUT God knows where you would get a bet on for that mate?

two of the harry’s been yanked! harry’s hill is 5/1 for 5 places and now an e/w shot to nothing, although a dirty price and we may be getting on a race too early, it can’t be a bad thing his son? a 10lbs claimer is on.

well spotted with HONG KONG HARRY, strange i randomly decide to punt the harry;s, the two non universe picks get pulled whilst you find one – named after a place i last went on holiday , good enough for me! no such thing as coincidences :D

Well I ‘spotted it’ few years ago Cashmachine Been backing Hong Kong Harry since it hit US shores a while back it’s a very good horse and still relatively lightly raced.

best way to win, follow the story of the day, micky dods, has the winner at HQ, wins the big one up north.

buick no winners, his KING OF CONTRAST loves soft, boom we find a winner.

look at form all you like, track whats happening during the day and you can find some gems.

good luck with your harry, i sadly left it out of my multiple as no price offered and didnt want something dirty.

when i first got into racing, horses with Vinnie in the name were all the rage, then we had the monbegs and of course a couple of paddy’s. over the last couple of years however, the strike rate of horses with Harry in their name has been nothing short of phenomenal (stat man dave may say otherwise). with 3 out tomorrow we are going for a lil treble. note these are researched picks.

HARRY MAGNUS 7/2 (120gw) is on a hattrick, the 2nd and 3rd from his first win are BOTH won their next two starts. his next win a C4 was also riddled with winners. he takes another step up today in a big field of lightly raced rivals but has already beat his co-favourite and has race fitness on his side. with big racing at HQ, big bad Robbie Hornby (i like to talk as if i know them) steps on, being 2-9 for the trainer over the last 12 months.

HARRY’S HILL 4/1 (135n) bombed out in this race last year shortly before rattling off a hattrick. the peak of those coming off 67, the trainer is utilising a 10lb claimer with the same surname, putting him on 63. his recent flat runners are nothing to write home about but i don’t own a TV and i was at my sister’s this morning and an advert came on showing HARRY HILL was going to be on some chat show.. say no more! the horse hasn’t done much at this track but we throw him in.

ICE COOL HARRY 9/2 (625d) is a debutant from Clivey Coxmeister, out of harry angel, who he trained, could be good enough to place, Morris is 0-4 for him but most top lads are at HQ, we’re also up against a heavy favourite, the price aint appealing so again, we twist him up, turn him sideways and stick him to finish top 3.

this is only a fun bet but top 3 for magnus 10/11, harry’s hill 10/11 for top 4 and ice cool 11/10 for top 3 sounds like a nice little 6.65/1 treble.

    16:00nm – RAASEL 11/1 e/w 5 places

randomly just so happened to mention my mate RAASEL yday, and he is out today, i don’t believe in coincidences. he won 8 out of 10 races over the last two seasons so he owes me and surely some of you too. with a stiff finish his hold up tactics are sure to help and at 11/1, we back him each way blind. he has won a group 3 before, and out of his rivals, only mannacan (top weight with floppy dettori on) can say that. TWILIGHT CALLS is a C&D winner with Group 1 2nd’s to his name but hasnt been seen for a year, i can find 11/4 wins in class 6’s every day, so it is pointless for me to chance him, whilst vadream has won his races over further on softer going and im not sure to what extent the rain affected the ground, but the going still says good to firm.

      325nm MAJESTIC 6/1 e/w 5 places

when i look at a race card, i scroll to the bottom and look for ew prices, it isnt fair to tip in a 17 runner race without looking at a single rival, but i always stress 100pt bankroll and inform you of the situation, so all is fair. anyway, my universe picks are second to none, from 40/1 SERPENTINE to SOPRANO yesterday, the list is endless, no good to you, but without saying too much, it’s the name of a venue i am going to on sunday, arranged only hours before seeing the name.

this horse won a 28 runner affair over C&D, he is 10 higher so at the price isn’t overly enthusing but was a very nice looking 4/22 on seasonal bow a month ago on heavy going, so seems versatile ground wise. without looking at rivals i can’t see him too much, so grab the 6s 365 are still offering and go e/w for 5 places (skybet 6 places now 9/2)

ThanksRecoba , Stephen Mulqueen who rides for Lucinda Rus is over in US for 3 weeks riding . He says the US horses pull up a lot quicker and seem to be a lot fitter , so his plan with Fingal is to build up , then put head down and go for it . As you say can’t see any bookies listing this track . 👍👌😎

    BONNY ANGEL – 18/1 ew 4 places 1715 newm

shaquille was one of a few camacho bossed the AW with in the winter, so happy to see rizz put it up, especially like he said, with some well boosted form, it is strange though the 2nd fav at a similar price has been yanked, yet shaqs price hasn’t really changed…. makes me want to take him on but could be pure nonsense. i dont really understand how TENJIN has raced 7 times since losing to shaq by 2.5l carring 3 less, hasn’t won, and is now 4lbs worse off??? 7 runs this year alone is also crazy. but let me stop there before i write another wall of text… based ALMOST PURELY on them being 2nd in this last year, their horse doesnt have strong a form, but counts for little…fahy and cox, popped up plenty at nice prices.

since i have been posting, for 4 days, i have put winners up everyday and effectively shown a profit everyday, but for you, that is not good enough, i have given my thoughts also, so people have a better idea of how to go at it, in the hardest sport in the world.

YOU GET ONE LIFE YOU SILLY COW, IF U WANNA WASTE IT DOING A MEANINGLESS JOB FOR A BOSS PAYING HIMSELF X20 MORE, THAT’S YOUR BUSINESS. she knows what i tell her and then tries to use it against me like im not playing her, she really needs to start posting up them 5/4 losers again what we all miss. bless her little cotton socks, hey someone call eachwaytheif up, he did his brains and left for the firth time, i reckon these two wiill be happy together.

notice how she tries to ridicule me for ”being a hermit” imagine if i ONCE HAD mental health issues debilitating my life, not allowing me to get on in life, and now this sad c#nt wants to try and throw that in my face, what a scabby little wretch she must be. how pathetic a life must you life to actually try and gain the upper hand by noting the ”29 accounts”’ ive had, what exactly does that matter?? you really are scraping the barrel, and we know why, because my results speak for themselves, you are just clueless in the game of horse racing where i’m borderline rain fooking man.

as for describing myself, its all a laugh, am i the best in the business?? no, do i even care much about racing?? no. your opinion really doesnt matter, my results speak for myself, my rent is paid years in advance, i get up in the morning, go out for breakfast, come home and do the racing if i feel like it, i sh@g a few girls and have all i need with no need to do anything i dont want to, be jealous, my life is CUSHTY because of my racing knowledge, you brag about having a job, so do i, betting on horses, if u cant fathom some people can live off that just because you’re totally clueless and rely blinking obvious group 1 hot pots, thats your business.

i dont claim anything i cant back up deb, so if you wanna show me ur 2£ bet slips go ahead, i can bet around 100 a race on 9/10 races every day of the week and be profitable, so keep crying, keep being jealous, my only aim here is to try win people money, what is yours?? why do you post??? why are you here??? what good are you for anyone??? good bye deb, please leave. do u wanna compare bet slip pictures??? please you first, then me, lets see how pathetic you are and how real i am.

i really need to live life how i choose to. a novel, its 500 words, 5 minutes work, worth it since i don’t have to be up for work in the morning.

hate and despise what exactly?? there isn’t anyone who can impact my mental state, so again keep focusing on the pointless nonsense and spinning things how you like, start tipping or fook off, you are a troll and nothing but. you have no legs to stand on, throw whatever you like at me, point is, what do you do that positively affects this thread?? youre now trying to run off the best person on her, good for you lonely.

now you are trying to get one over bcz u have a house paid?? sorry but im over half your age you silly witch, who the fook cares what you have, id rather rent a mansion than live alone in a 1 bed flat drinking wine every night to drown your sorrows as you read your rauncy novels to make your existence bearable.

i make a joke about ewt who has left 5 times, saying he done his brains, and apparently i am speaking out of turn??? whilst you try to dig people out for mental health issues on a racing thread and try to act like you’re in the right, you dont have the mental capacity to argue with me deb so why bother.

how the fook am i jealous of cairnzy??? the man is clueless, he tips horses at 2/1 that dont even win, when he gets a 2/1 winner he comes on waxing lyrical ” THATS HOW CAIRNZY DOES IT ” when he puts up a 15/8 loser, a horse i tipped the 10/1 winner in, WHERE IS HE LOL, i am here to help people, i dont care about how much they bet or win or lose, or tips the put up, the lion doesnt concern himself with the mice. i bang in winners daily, and you fantisize over my ability. get it right.

as for rizzle, been nothing but complimentary, but you wanna keep bringing up the past and repeating ancient history, like i said a little hurt sad lonely women who got nothing but a cat and a fridge full of vino.
