VICTORIANO (3.50) lacks a change of gear but the long straight at Ffos Las should pay to his strengths.
Archie Watson's gelding has been most consistent this summer but couldn't quicken at Salisbury six days ago when the heat was turned on. This is a slight drop in grade and the booking of Oisin Murphy is a bonus.
At Carlisle, BETTY GRABLE (5.15) is well worth an each-way punt on the back of an excellent second to Dutch Coed here in July and she has been in good form of late. Donnelly's Rainbow will be hard to knock out of the frame. He recovered from trouble in running to score at Musselburgh on the back of a second to Cliffs Bay over course and distance in June. Dawn Breaking is another coming into the race in peak form, so Betty Grable should go off a decent price.
