WARRIOR’S VALLEY likes to scamper along in front and he’ll take a deal of catching in the 5f handicap at Lingfield. David Griffiths has proved himself a master with sprinters and Warrior’s Valley made all to beat in-form Gorgeous General at Southwell at the end of January. He disappointed when sent off favourite at Wolverhampton last time but can dominate this small field with a clean break.

Some 30 years ago Richard Guest was preparing to ride Beech Road (50-1) to victory in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham but he’d be happy enough saddling a winner in FOXRUSH TAKES TIME in lowly grade at Lingfield. His gelding was beaten a neck by Don’t Do It at Chelmsford City six days ago and has been knocking at the door all winter.
