Ivatheengine was a good winner for us on Saturday, winning at a drifted price of 15/2. It was a shame we couldn't make it 2/2 with the selections, as Indigo Times was extremely poor, and will probably be the last time I back him, on turf anyway. Today, I've gone back to a previous winning selection in hope that he is still well-handicapped enough to land another prize.

Prince Imperial who was a recent winning tip was meant to battle it out against HAVEYOUMISSEDME, but the latter pulled out of that race due to the ‘Unsuitable ground'. At the time of writing my piece, I did say that Haveyoumissedme would be the main danger to Prince Imperial. The selection for today was also a winning tip for us when he won a couple of weeks ago at Newcastle, where he stayed on strongly to beat a Roger Varian runner. I do think this race will be tougher today, not in terms of opposition, but he will be up against it with the weight he has to carry.
Iain Jardine and connections clearly thought this race was the better of the two options they had, and that's why they withdrew him out of the Ayr race. I do believe he is still capable of winning off his new mark of 77, which is a 3lb higher mark than his recent win. The weight he carries will be his biggest problem as he is carrying top weight against a couple of recent winners, who could be handicapped well enough to strike again. Despite the fact he's got 10st 2lbs to carry, I will be siding with him once again, and that's because he should be able to handle the ground conditions which should be good to soft at the very least, as Hamilton is expected a few mm of rain before the time of racing. Haveyoumissedme was a winner at the back end of his juvenile season, where he won at Newmarket on heavy ground, and the fact he was a Non Runner a couple of days ago due to the fast ground suggests that they want it to be slow.
This track could also play into his strengths. He stayed on well at Newcastle to suggest a step up in trip wouldn't be an issue. They clearly thought he was a strong stayer, as they entered him up in the 2m 1f race at Ayr, whether he'd stay that far I'm not 100% sure. However, he stays 12f extremely well, and the uphill finish at Hamilton will bring his stamina into play.

I left Yibir out and in my Yankee I had Walton Street but he got removed and went on to hit 0/4!
Desert Encounter has been in the states for a while as have a few so I’d think horses like Yibir n globe trotter Walton Street will be aimed at Breeders cup but god knows what races.
They’ve good UK form so it’s just trying to figure where it sits in context with the race there entered in over in America.
Obviously it’s better if they’ve had a run already in USA too.

There’s no doubt Lexington force should be winning a race of this nature tomorrow. It’s a pretty poor race and he’s definitely the pick of a bad bunch but I actually though 11/8 wasn’t a bad price but a fair price given his recent form. Buts he’s smashed down the weights by 13lb. Ben Curtis riding tomorrow and if he even slightly shows up he should definitely be winning this…
Leroy Leroy – 2:40 – 13/2
I thought this one was over priced in the market given his recent form and consistency. Current market favourite glory and fortune is probably the classier act in the field but returns of a break since may and may need a run before kicking into top gear again. Brian Hughes takes the ride of the other market leader Constancio who drops further down the weights but the recent form is patchy and looks to short for me to have a punt on..
I’ll have a punt on 2 singles and a few quid on the double incase the luck is really in…
