It's been quite a while since I've been active on the thread. I opted last minute to not get involved in tipping at the Cheltenham festival.
I of course had a punt during the 4 days but didn't have much luck. I hit the crossbar on multiple occasions on doubles and trebles with the shorter-priced runners shiskin and Mighty Potter to name a couple, letting me down.
I've one fancy from the AW meeting at Wolverhampton.
Plumette 9/2 – 7:30 Wolverhampton
Not normally a race I'd get involved in given it's a pretty tricky puzzle to solve.
The current market favourite letmelivemylife is still on a winning mark after taking advantage of a drop in the weights however at 9/4 I thought was a bit on the short side.
There's plenty of value elsewhere in the field and my eyes were drawn to the Loughnane trained Plumette.
Plumette was upped in distance last time out to the extended mile however found trouble in running and never really got involved. Given the circumstances, I'm more than happy to draw a line through that run.
Prior to that run Plumette had some nice form over the 7f and at this track with two wins and a runner-up in the last 5 outings.
Jockey Laura Pearson rides tomorrow and her 3lb claim can also help Plumettes chances of getting back to winning ways.
