Fast Style looked to have the race in the bag but the eventual winner battled back and got the head in front. Tom Marquand who rode a few short-priced favourites had a bit of a stinker day at the office but it happens in this game.

Ray Of Colours was just rubbish full stop and there isn't much more else to say about that run.

There's not much racing on tomorrow besides two meetings on the AW.

I got caught up in the snow at work and was late home so I haven't had a second to myself to do a full study of the two cards, unfortunately, all I have is one selection on a horse I've had in my tracker since November last year.

Burdett Road 9/4 – 5:30 Kempton

I always look forward to watching a horse next time out when you've stuck it in your tracker, even a nicer feeling when you spot a bit of talent and they win on the day.

Burdett Road who was originally trained by Roger Varian showed glimpses of talent on a few runs and I think he has every chance of getting his head in front of his first run for trainer Michael Bell.

His debut run at Newmarket for Roger Varian was pretty disappointing however he took a significant step forward the next time out when finishing second at Wolverhampton when being beaten by around a length by Harry's Hero.

Harry's Hero is now rated 85 and is an above-average horse.

Burdett Road was expected to win next time out however could only manage second behind the James Tate trained Mighty River.

Now there are two sides to an argument on this one…

You can argue that the form of that second behind Mighty River has been boosted as Mighty River won again on Saturday off a mark of 81.

Then there is the other side of the argument. That particular race had a bit of controversy surrounding it. The eventual second in that race Mohatu, looked in my opinion to be going on to take the race by the scruff. However a coming together occurred in running with Mohatu bumping into the back of Mighty River who then went on to win.

No steward's enquiry was called which was a major talking point after the race.

I personally think it's a decent form regardless of what you think of the scenario.

Current market leader Super Mo also has some nice form to his name but at 5/4 I didn't want to get involved. I actually think Super Mo will be backed further and my selection may drift a little but a small drift wouldn't put me off having a few quid on it.
