Elixer was a lovely winner yesterday at Musselburgh, winning by making all and jumping like a horse who is much better than a horse rated in the 70s. From what I saw, he was foot perfect, and the horses could keep up in behind, as he was carrying a featherweight. It's very hard to believe he was a maiden from 30 runs prior to that win, but hopefully he will kick on now, as he will still be relatively low rated.

IN OUR DREAMS doesn't look especially well treated off his current handicap mark of 118 for his handicap debut, but the services of 10lb claimer Jay Tidball definitely makes him of interest against some more exposed looking horses in this lineup, especially at the odds currently on offer at the time of writing.
Since being stepped up in trip from his bumper runs to 2m 5f over hurdles he has improved massively, finishing runner-up on both occasions, behind what appear to be above average horses. On both occasions it seemed that a step up in trip would suit as he kept on and was still hitting the line strongly. His pedigree also gives the impression that this new distance would help him improve, being by Cloudings, who has produced many staying horses like the late great Many Clouds, as well as current horses like Cloudy Glen who recently won the Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury over 3m 2f.
This race has a few horses coming it with decent form, but a lot of them have found their places in the handicapping system, and will struggle off their current marks. Mr Washington is on a bit of a roll at the moment, and it's hard to know if he is in the grips of the handicapper after many wins by small margins, but I do think he will struggle to win this one off a 4lb higher mark. Quick Draw will be dangerous if he can stay this trip, but I'm not totally sure it will suit.

The tips I’ve put on here this last week have been unreal like it or not … so I (not Bertie) was simply celebrating… Shouldn’t be an issue, let’s just stick to racing. i posted my wall of text on yesterday’s thread. Some NRs have messed with prices and as such hopefully something at Southwell can be found later.

This could’ve easily avoided a mention with plenty of red flags but the owner/trainer/jockey’s 1st and 2nd yesterday means I will chance with a small bet.
Short priced EWs aren’t really worth it if you don’t fancy it winning, because the reward for placing often isn’t worth the stake we’re risking. But with fair warning I think I will be chancing FLAGRANT DELITIEP 15/2 ew at 13.50 Fontwell.
The horse has taken a walk in the market, opening at 7/2, the drift heavily suggests he has another target in mind but he hasn’t been out of the top 2 in his last 4 chases. Cobden is obviously here for Nicholls but has 2 winners from 9 rides for R Walford over the last year. He had a blow out over hurdles recently and given his two wins and two seconds, will be going off a career high, he is however up against a few no hopers and I’d hope we can still sneak a place.
In the 14.20 LADY OF THE NIGHT was around 7/1 last night and is now 10/3, I won’t be advising/risking but it’s about time BASS/BAILEY started firing so they’re ones to keep an eye out for.

Only beaten 13 lengths in a similar event last time out. Probably want further than 2ms but the soft going might bring his stamina into play
