It was nice to actually have a winner yesterday, as the wonderful grey mare, Snow Leopardess put in a superb round of jumping from the front to win the Becher Chase over the Grand National fences at Aintree. Aidan Coleman got things spot on, and they got the fractions just about right as she managed to cling on by the skin of her teeth. It'll be interesting to see where they go next.

Cork 1:10

On the bare form, there shouldn't be a lot between Churchstonewarrior & Idas Boy, as they were 1 and 2 in their recent race, which saw the former come out victorious. I think he will be ahead of Idas Boy again, despite the fact he's got to shoulder a penalty as he did win cosily even though the winning margin suggests different. However, I think CHINX OF LIGHT can beat both of them, and other than maybe Perfect Attitude, they should be the only ones in this race who will be competitive.

Chinx Of Light was impressive in a Galway Maiden Hurdle in October, where he clearly enjoyed the testing ground and stiff track that Galway has to offer. He won by 3.25L, beating what appear to be okay horses. The manner in which he did it is what I found impressive, and the step up to 3m should see further improvement, like his two full-brothers who were Graded class. He is a full-brother to Wounder Warrior & Sword Of Destiny, who both won Graded races over 3m on testing ground, so there's no reason why this lad will not follow in their footsteps and enjoy this extra distance. Since the win at Galway, he has moved stables/owners to John McConnell, which could see him improve even more. His run at Galway was on the back of a 200+ day absence, so he was entitled to come on for that run, and there is a strong chance he'll be fitter for this today.

There could be another selection in the morning, depending if the horse drifts or not.

the big and last on the card Is up in about 30 mins.
Left this out but I’ll take it after getting a return.

From my tracker and was in there for the Breeders Cup were he was a good 3rd in the turf sprint.
Had him Ew that night and this 1m is a BIG unknown hence the 9/2 but he was finishing well and may just burst out and leave them for dead and I’ll trust in the trainer.

In all honesty I should’ve perhaps just put up DO NOT DISTURB and left it at that, I hate losing people money, but I feel I’ve given enough caution to help you make up your own minds. I also believe in the long run we reclaim ALL lost stakes so I will crack on. Finally, we’ve had some good results but do not try make up for missing out on any of them with these, today is definitely not the day and are mainly for an interest. We will have plenty of good days ahead.

At Huntingon, NDB has been banging in a couple of well backed favs for Henderson and they have one in the first up against for me, trainer of the season last year, Tom Symonds. In the second race, OSCAR ELITE was all set to win lto but the jockey was a bit reckless and he inevitably fell. They could form the basis of a decent acca but I wouldn’t rely on them too heavily.

13.03 Kelso – DO NOT DISTURB 11/1 ew 5 places

The fact Gordon Elliot sends a relatively well handicapped horse over for this means there’s value to be had in the EW market. On the flip side, it does make winning harder, especially since his horse WESTSTREET carries barely any weight and should take a lot of beating.

Dino Boy must’ve been targeted at this having won this last year carrying 9lbs less whilst Innisfree Lad is another who could be capable in the hands of Brian Hughes and is probably the one I’d watch in the market, currently around 16/1.

Connections of DO NOT DISTURB won this in 2019 and given he’s won his last 3 starts at the track, I am hopeful we’ll get a good run for our money. He beat GWENCILY BURBAS and HAUL AWAY round here and at face value, that is decent form. He didn’t find loads when tried over 3m5f a month ago but travelled well for long enough and deserves one more chance.

    14.43 Kelso – DOLLY DANCER 25/1 ew 4 places

This horse comes with plenty of negatives, he has won once in two years and his course form does not read well. He is however back chasing after 3 duck eggs hurdling rated just one above his last win, that was in this company by 9 lengths so there is a glimmer of hope.

With the risks outlined, I’ll leave it to you whether chancing a throwaway stake at a big price. I’d advise a market check on WHO’S IN THE BOX 8/1, N Kent and Hammond are sticking out to me for some reason and they share two on the card (also 14.43 Queen of Fame 14/1).

    13.35 Kelso – Torigni 7/2 win

This jockey in these silks won for us at 8s yesterday and for that reason alone, I risk money on the win. I am not even going to look at a single piece of form, but nor will I be risking anything I care to lose.

12.03 Kelso – NOT WHAT IT SEEMS 9/1 ew 3 places

Micky Hammond isn’t much of a trainer to follow. The jockey does win for him but doesn’t have a great record and the horse, well, there’s plenty to take on faith with him too. It gets worse, looking at the market, we will need a bit of luck just to scrape a place, I almost deleted this one completely but we get the stake back over time so I have left it in. It’s important to note most big firms are only paying two, so either leave it alone or get 3 places (corals, mansion bet, ew extra).

He has mixed it with a couple of horses who’ve done well, so coupled with the fact the drop it trip looks ideal, I will be chancing. I think we’ll find much less risky propositions coming up, so given £1.25 ew only returns a £1 profit, it might be worth keeping your powder dry.

i didn’t discover racing until later in life, this site cost me no end of money, i used to think people here knew what they were doing and was far too trusting. as you get into it yourself, you realise how tricky racing is and it wasn’t long before i developed my own methods and was able to look at others tips and realise just how little chance they had, so now if i post, i ensure at the very least they are somewhat researched. it can be a lot of effort for an appreciating crowd but helping others find winners is more rewarding than any financial gains so hopefully whilst my dedication lasts, some can profit.

no luck with the first runner, a decent enough run but only managed fourth. i am not put off by the market vibes on any other runners, i mentioned KENT/HAMMOND market check and their most interesting one has see money supposedly – 12.33 WHO’S IN THE BOX now 5/1, off in a few minutes a modest EW is all i’d risk.

    “WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ?”
“I EXPECT YOU TO DIE MR BOND”
    class films.
My 2 favourites and these probably show my age.

Moonraker with the wonderfully named Holly goodhead as the main bond slag.

On her majesty’s secret service with the ultra gorgeous Dianna rigg
Unfortunately that Angela Merkel lookalike Rosa clebb killed her off.
George lazenby for me was as good as any bond on this his only bond film.

Bollocks to the horses, watch bond, shaken not stirred
