The two initial selections were poor at Aintree but Walking In Glass recouped some money at Limerick by placing in the National race they had on, finishing fifth. Still a loss on a day but not as much as it would've been.

There is a strong possibility that Big Changes will be in a few people's accumulators for Monday's racing as he comes into this race racing on bottom weight, has a recent win, and comes from a respected yard that does well when sending them to Scotland or Northern England. Because I do respect the chances of Big Changes I will be playing STRAIGHT SWAP but in the w/o favourite market as I feel like he could pick up the pieces if the favourite is well-handicapped.
At the time of writing, Bet365 hasn't offered any odds for this race in the w/o market, but I'd imagine it would be between EVS and 7/4 as the market is fairly close between the next three in the race.
For me, Straight Swap could win this race but carrying 11st 11lbs could be an issue on ground which could turn into very testing conditions. Straight Swap managed to win off 12st last time at Hexham and that was a very strange but eye-catching performance. He was under the cosh a fair way from home but managed to plug on and catch the eventual runner-up on the line. He is a horse who has run well over 3m+ before, so it's not a surprise to see him staying on strongly, but to do it on seasonal reappearance under a big weight made it a good run for the class, and looked like a horse who will be progressive over fences this season, especially over longer trips.
Though I think my selection will be better over further, I think today's conditions will make this into a real stamina test and I can assure you that Straight Swap will be running on extremely well, even if he comes under pressure before some of these.
