NOBLE BEHEST (3.50) has been found a gilt-edged opportunity to complete his hat-trick by bagging the 2m 2f handicap at Southwell.

Betting a horse on their first experience of the Fibresand surface comes with risks but Noble Behest dug deep to edge out Battle Of Marathon over two miles at Wolverhampton, with Danny Tudhope now taking over from an apprentice. Fourth horse Doctor Jazz, beaten almost ten lengths, scored earlier in the week. This is a specialist distance and last year's winner Colwood should go well, despite being a good bit higher in the ratings.

FALCAO (4.20) does most of his racing over six furlongs but is worth chancing stepping up an extra furlong in a very modest affair. The seven-year-old won here in April and wasn't beaten far in fourth by Bedtime Bella (runs 1.35) on his last outing. With several firms offering four places each-way, Falcao should be backed accordingly at 13-2.

The ground will be very testing at Ascot where SAINT DE REVE (3.05) should go close for Paul Nicholls. This is a 2m 5f handicap hurdle confined to conditional jockeys and Lorcan Williams takes off 3lb. Saint De Reve beat Cage Of Fear 13 lengths at Wincanton and his third to 142-rated Cat Tiger at Exeter was boosted by the very easy success of fourth horse Unwin Vc yesterday. Nicholls applies a tongue tie for the first time.

    7.00 Wolverhampton –

CALIFORNIA LAD has won 3 times on the AW (all at Dundalk) , the most recent of which was in February last year off today’s mark of 63 .
Has ran 3 times at Wolves , twice for previous trainer Harry Dunlop finishing 3rd and 2nd off 78 and 76 .
Current trainer took him over in May of this year and he was a running on 3rd off a mark of 66 .
3 poor runs in Ireland since , hopefully a return to this track , 3lb drop , step up in trip plus the jockeys 3lb claim can all help towards an improved showing.

LOMU was of interest for me LTO and a guy on here mentioned he set a CD track record when winning at 16/1.

he has been put up 8lbs in the ratings but the big step up in class means he will be carrying a massive 17lbs fewer than when setting that record.

he runs in the 730w he touched 7/4 in the day and is now around 11/4, i will not be betting on him (despite having bet on a million worse things based on other’s words without even checking myself) but he has to be of interest given he’s the fastest over 5f around the track.

4/6 top 3 could boost an acca.
