LAAFY (5.05) can bring the curtain down on three wonderful days at York by landing the concluding 1m 3f handicap. Sir Michael Stoute's colt dug deep at Leicester to beat favourite Sucellus in a 1m 2f novice stakes and is entitled to improve again on only his fourth career start. This is Laafy's first handicap venture and he could be thrown in off an 83 rating.
THEGLASGOWWARRIOR (7.30) looks over-priced at 6-1 with Paddy Power for the Braveheart Stakes at Hamilton this evening.
Jim Goldie's gelding may have hit the front a shade too early at Musselburgh earlier in the week, allowing Bayshore Freeway to rally in the final 100 yards, but he travelled very well. He is a dual Hamilton winner and Ben Robinson's 3lb claim could prove vital as he is closely matched with Seafarer, runner-up to Bayshore Freeway at Bath. Marcus Tregoning doesn't send many this far north. Mark Johnston has a strong hand with Charles Kingsley and Fire Fighting.
KINGDOM BRUNEL (7.00) finished fifth to Tum Tum in a better event at Newcastle and Robert Ogden's gelding looks the one to beat under top weight in the mile handicap.
