STARCZEWSKI (4.25) was well-supported at Chelmsford City but proved a bit under-whelming in finishing third to Thai Terrier. David Simcock has found him a slightly easier assignment in the two-mile handicap at Kempton.
AUREUM (3.55) hasn’t set the heather on fire in maiden/novice company for John Gosden but must be of interest in the Class 5 handicap. She doesn’t appear devoid of talent and can take a significant step forward under Rab Havlin. Pink Jazz recorded a course and distance success almost three weeks ago, while Mabre, a previous course and distance scorer for David Evans, was only narrowly denied here in a similar contest in mid-December.
KING OF THE SOUTH (4.40), a dual course winner over ten furlongs at Newcastle, stayed today's 1m 4f trip stoutly when second to Madeeh 24 days ago. With the winner scoring again last week, William Knight’s progressive gelding seems sure to go close.

just landed on HORN OF PLENTY in the 440. MJ has a 2 from 2 horse whilst AT has gone with KOTS, now around 9/4 i wasn’t swayed by that because o the skinny price but definitely could see it winning too. HOP has accounted for Autumn War already and his owners had a winner yesterday, at a slightly bigger price i’d side with him over AT’s and perhaps a RFC. wanted to be on HOME BEFORE DUSK but the distance is the issue there so stick with HOP.
sheesh that makes ALAN’s first runner really gross to anyone who was on the treble like myself, no chance right at the back ‘stormed’ home for a 2nd, dirty, 2 winners anyway nice one.
