WITH Hamilton falling victim to the weather it promises to be a quiet Tuesday with just the one recommended bet, MOVIE STAR (6.25) at Yarmouth.
This is low-grade fare but Movie Star showed up fairly well at Nottingham last week on ground that was probably on the soft side for Amy Murphy's filly.
She finished third over course and distance at the end of May and I like the booking of Silvestre De Sousa, plus the application of a first-time visor.

David Bridgwater has been good to the page. This jockey/trainer combo won for us at the weekend and have another interesing runner.
Last September this horse was 2nd over C&D and today will be a massive 11lbs lower. Even better is the fact current joint fav BERMEO was 1/2 length in front of us. That day we carried 27lbs more whereas today, we will carry 5lb less, a 32lb swing which is absolutely monsterous.
We made our first appearance for 224 days on the 23rd of July and finished a respectable 4th. We are 6lbs below our last winning mark.

I put up an Amy Murphy horse recently when finished 7th, it was out again a few days latter and won. MOVIE STAR is another I put up last time and I will be hoping history repeats itself. She had a 2nd yesterday and sends one to Yarmouth with one of the best jockeys on board.
The horse is not a shoe in by any means having failed to win in her 6 hcaps to date. She was 3rd over C&D off 1lb higher. The winner, 2 lengths in front went in again next time out whilst the horse in 4th has won twice since and Lady Alavesa back in 5th has performed quite well in much better company this week.
In June, her form gets even better. 0.75 lengths behind Seaborn who has a 2nd and a 1st to his name since, although both of those were with a claimer making him lower than when beating our selection. The horse in 3rd had won before and then was raised 5lbs and went in again. The horse in 4th has came 3rd, 2nd and then won off 68 since. Whilst the horse in 5th runs in the 15:40 at Brighton and although I won’t read too much into that form line, if ESSPEEGEE performs well, it is another positive.

Grant Tuer’s horses have been running well and the fact he teams up with Jack Mitchell is enough to chance this relative newcomer.
The horse is only making his 3rd hcap start and reverts back to the seemingly preferred 6 furlongs have placed 3 times in novice races.

Trainer/jockey teamed up for a winner last night and although the jockey is there for rides with a more familiar trainer, he isn’t without a chance.
Over C&D back in May he was 1.5 lengths behind Scoffsman, who was subsequently stepped up a grade upped 5lbs and finished 2nd, although a distant 2nd. He was then 4th, again over C&D, a short head behind the third who won his next start, LUNAR DEITY was ahead of him that day and is 1lb better off so should have his measure, so I will stick to the place market.
ESSPEEGEE won so thats another nod to my/alans pick
