Yesterday saw Cobblers Dream win for us at 11/8 after being tipped up at 2/1. As expected, he looks like a nice recruit for the Ben Case stable, and is a horse I will be following closely. Vivas was starting to warm into the race, but then hit two fences in a row, which resulted in him unshipping Johnny Burke, it's unfortunate, but this is the risk of betting on the jumps meetings. With that being said, my only selection comes at Perth and their jumps meeting for Wednesday.
Perth 2:25
This race is full of horses who are starting to become attractively weighted based on their old efforts. Despite this, I am siding with REBEL LEADER, who is still looking for his first win over rules.
Dr Richard Newland's 7yo son of Milan has ran some consistent races in defeat the last two times, and it appears that this could be the time he finally get his head in front, on his 13th appearance over hurdles/fences. The form of his second to last run at Uttoxeter has been franked by the winner and the horse back in 3rd, who have both won since. On that day he was deemed to have ran to 10lbs higher than his mark of 86, as his performance was given an RPR of 96. He was then ran another good race at Market Rasen which produced an RPR of 96, but that was over 2m 5.5f, and I get the impression that trip is slightly too far for him as his efforts petered out in the last furlong. Today he races back over 2m 4f, which I do see to be a positive, and the slower surface should also help him as his best form has come with cut in the ground, and so did his only win in his sole PTP run.
I mentioned that a few of these are on dangerous marks, this includes More Buck's and Not The Chablis. More Buck's will be the main threat of those two, in my opinion. He has been in good form, but he's been hovering around the 97 – 105 mark for the last four runs and he hasn't managed to get his head in front, so I get the feeling he might need to come down the ratings a little more. Not The Chablis has ran well in some of his runs this year, but he comes here on the back of a 133 day break, and he has never managed to win on the back of a break before, so there's no reason to see that change today. Also, he is carrying a top weight of 12st, which will not be an easy task.

Another good day yesterday with my main NAP landing at 3s and my each way selection placing at 12s.
I’ve managed to get sometime to view tomorrow’s card and again not much on besides a class one at goodwood that I can really see. Even at that I’ll not be touching that race but will be watching as Frankie rides Harrovian in his only ride of the day for the gosdens. If he takes on similar tactics as he did last time but trying to run them out from the front it could be an interesting race because he knuckled down well at Donnie to land that one.

1:15 – Goodwood – Warhorse 11/4 Bet365
Ridden by the talented Marco Ghiani. Massive massive fan of this lad he’s definitely the next upcoming young jockey. Well in my opinion anyway.
If favourite wins I’ll eat my words but I’m not falling for the looks good on paper one on this particular race. I get Appleby has trained 3 out of the previous 5 winners of this race but means nothing to me personally and when it comes to betting on inexperienced 2yr olds it’s a mine field really..
Bottis warhorse at least has some experience and connections at least seem to think he wanted further than his previous run. Started over 7 then upped to 1m and now gets an extra furlong or so. If he stays he should go close.
My 2nd selection is
Favouri De Champdou 1:40 – Listowel 8/13
Not much value as such in this one but it’s the one to beat. Looks a really good sort this one for Gordon Elliot. Elliot is normally a champion of selecting where to send his horses and this race looks perfect for this one. Now a rated 133 hurdler and having looked at rest of field there’s only a few that look of any interest. Jack Kennedy rides and if the horse doesn’t need the run as it’s been about 18 months since it last ran he’ll take all the beating.

He’s from Italy and he didn’t speak a word of English when he came over as an apprentice to Luca Cumani. Luca shortly retired after Marco joined, and he was tempted to return back to Italy. Luckily he stumbled into an opportunity with Stuart Williams, and the rest is history.
I agree with Cairnzy, he is the next big jockey in my opinion. It’ll take him a little while to get to the heights that Oisin is currently at, but he is still young and will get plenty of opportunities. It wouldn’t be a great surprise to see him be the main jock for Saeed Bin Suroor at Godolphin, as he has used him quite a bit, and he hasn’t had a stable jock since getting rid of James Doyle.
Gordon Elliots runner for my 2nd selection has been withdrawn. Not sure why, can’t find anything about it online. Ground has been announced as good so that’s my only suggestion why.
Anyway, on my original write up I mentioned I originally wasn’t going to touch the class one at Goodwood ( 2:52 race ) however since my 2nd selection is a non runner I’ve opted to have a punt on it. I don’t normally bet on other horse markets for example to win by such and such lengths or not to win but today I’m going to take Harrovian to place at 11/8 currently with 365. There’s some nice horses running in this race like king vega and migration so I’m not going to risk taking the 7/1 to win for Harrovian. It’s Dettoris only ride of the day, he’s at the age now that he picks and chooses his rides so he must like the look of it. I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t take him to the front again and try similar tactics like he did on him at York. If he has them all at it this horse has a good attitude to keep boxing on.
Harrovian to place 11/8 – you’ll find this market in more markets under the race.

I was looking at the races in Perth and John C McConnell and Sean Bowen have a decent win percentage there and have 4 horses today in the trainer/jockey combination…..obviously it’s a risky bet but I’ll be having a small L15 on them, just on the off chance 🙂

I’ve had an ew in snow falcon
25-1 ew 6 places at HILLS.
10-1 ew extra 9 places.
Won this in 2018 and grade 2 winner in the past, a bit old at 11 to be winning but is race fit after running consistently over the summer, came 9th of 22 in the Galway plate last time and a similar effort would pay out on ew extra.

7:45 Kempton – Blue Medici 8/1 at time of posting with 365
This one has been previously running over 1m 4/1m 6 and in mainly class 5 company. I managed to rewatch its previous last 2 runs where he finished 4th on both runs. There were only 6 runners on both of them occasions but he didn’t actually run too badly. He obviously stays the trip if he’s been running over 1m 6 in previous runs. On previous runs it looked like he just ran into improvers and when asked to close in the last furlong or so he just had nothing left in the tank.
He drops back into class 6 company tonight and is 1-1 in that company so I thought 8/1 wasn’t a bad each way punt. I’ll take the place money if he can managed to grab it.
