I took a risk when backing Storm Dennis on chase debut and it was clearly the wrong decision. His jumping was sketchy at some fences and he looked not 100% for the race at Stratford but is a horse I'd be interested in backing again when he's next out as the experience would have done him the world of good.
As for the other selection, Dynamic Kate, she was off the bridle earlier than I thought she would be but she found plenty for pressure and would've won if she cleared the final hurdle. Unfortunately, she took a tumble, from what I saw she got back up, but if anyone knows if she is 100% okay and the jockey is fine then let me know in the comments. Similar comments apply to this selection in terms of I'd be happy to back her next time out as she was unlucky not to win today.

Horses running off relatively big breaks will be the norm for horses who are racing over the jumps as the jumps racing begins to ramp up as we head into Autumn and Winter, so you are going to need to trust some horses on their fitness for their comeback run, which is what I will be doing with BELLS OF STAMFORD.
The gamble on him at Ayr a few months ago was significant as he justified the money and won quite cosily and much better than the 0.75L victory. He has only gone up 4lb for that win, which is rather generous from the handicapper, and I think they thought he was tiring towards the end, which could've been the case but I thought he was dawdling a little when hitting the front and when they came to try and challenge he found more and won snugly.
Though I will have to trust him for his fitness, I don't think he would have to be at 100% to win this as it doesn't look that strong. For a horse who seemed to be on the up before taking a summer break and was clearly handicapped enough off 4lb for connections to lump a lot of money on him, he must be capable of more off a slightly higher mark.

Whenever Archie Watson sends a runner to a jumps card it has to be seriously noted as he has a very good strike rate when doing so (26% SR, 18/69 wins), so with that being said I will be backing his runner POLEMON.
This bumper debutante has a silly pedigree for a jumps horse and should be far too much for this field if he is anything like his siblings, Weekender and Media Stream who are full brothers to Polemon, who were both good flat horses who recorded RPRs in the 100s on multiple of occasions, especially Weekender who finished 2nd in the 2018 Ebor off top weight.
Polemon is by Frankel so should be easily getting this trip of 13.5f on debut, as Frankel has a tendency of producing progeny who stay extremely well.
Archie Watson won this race last year with a horse from the same ownership so it's not a surprise to see him going back to win it 12 months later, and I can imagine Polemon going on the flat after this brief spell over the jumps (well bumpers).
