Richard Hannon's colt chased home Labeebb here last month and the winner ran a cracker behind Laafy at Ascot last Friday. Grinling was a big drifter on his latest appearance at Newmarket, possibly on account of the soft ground, but wasn't totally disgraced in fourth behind Berrahri.
Godolphin's BRIGHT START (4.55) moves into handicap company at Leicester and an opening mark of 80 is not insurmountable. The gelding split useful Coconut and Solar Screen in a Newbury maiden last time.
