Yesterday saw us get one win from the two selections, with the other selection finishing last. Cousin Oscar ran a horrible race and the gambled on favourite won well and justified the market support. Coquelicot enjoyed the step up to 3m, but was also given a quality ride by young Rex Dingle who set the fractions perfectly from the front and the mare kept on plugging away to win with a bit in hand.

An interesting three runner Beginner's Chase with all three horses making a return from long layoffs, and all looking like they could be very nice novice chasers for this season. The one which I'm swaying towards is SILVER FOREVER.
I've always been a big fan of this horse since his bumper days a few years ago, and I've always thought she would be a much better horse when they decide to go chasing with her. She was a classy mare in bumpers, winning twice from four attempts, which saw her being placed at Class 1 level twice. She then managed to transfer her success to hurdles, which saw her win three of four races, including a Class 1 a Sandown where she won by 6.5 lengths, doing it easy. We've not seen her since that race which was back in January 2020, which is quite a long time ago, so there must've been problems. The time away from the track is a negative, but she is a classy horse who is a previous PTP winner who will enjoy this step up in trip. Paul Nicholls' has started this season very well and is operating at a 28% SR so far. His horses have ran well when fresh so there is optimism for a big run.
The other two have some good hurdles form between them, but they have to give away weight to the selection. It is quite apparent that soft ground is the ideal conditions for all three of these horses, but the quicker ground will more than likely favour Silver Forever as she has won on good-to-soft before, whereas the others have done their winning on soft and heavy and might want further than this.

Not be many surprises in the Goliath I don’t think? Del Mar dirt is a tricky tight race track.
Turf one is more honest as in best horse gets out and they’re good enough on the day the should be winning but sprints are going to be fun.

Recoba Del Mar turf track is tighter than Chester
Yeah Deb so I read and actually watched and took notes in “the tendencies of Del Mar” that came up after I watched a few replays on YouTube(🤷🏽♂️) swatting up to much!? A bad start in a sprints Is worse than anywhere else but it does say it’s turf is as good for closers at 7F+ as it is for front runners.
Last year I went with my tracker and that was it basically and a great 2 days It’ll be much the same this year in the end I’d say but I keep hearing Del Mar is going to different for this reason and that as it’s never been held there I think?
Best horses win and jockeys will be aware of Del Mar much like they do Chester here.
Turf track is only 7f round mate its basically a greyhound track with a very short run for home if the pace collapses you can come from off the pace but not from way back.
Alot of the European horses have drawn wide gates that’s why there prices are drifting.
Tarnawa for example is easily the best in the race but shes a hold up horse so will need alot of luck and hopefully a right good pace to run at if they doddle she will have no chance hence why you will get 2/1 instead off 1/2

Hi Recoba, I tried to join that livescore Bet but they wanted me to jump through hoops. Deposited money through PayPal and all seemed OK, but then they froze account. Contacted me saying they needed a copy of ID (Fair enough), a screenshot of my PayPal account showing name address and account number (Bit OTT) , AND they wanted a picture of me holding the ID and also holding a piece of paper with todays date on it!! (Mental).
I said bollocks to that, just refund me, and they refused. Said they couldn’t refund unless I verified with all the things they asked. Things got a bit heated in emails but eventually I got a refund.

Deb that’s why Bet365 are by far the best for USA racing as they stick with the original result and pay out if your horse is upgraded to 2nd to 1st and vice versa.
