THREE SAINTS BAY (2.40) may be capable of defying an 8lb rise for his very easy Musselburgh success last month, despite carrying top weight at Goodwood. David O'Meara's gelding is a 7f specialist and goes particularly well on a turning right-hand track.
Aidan O'Brien has a strangehold at the top of the Qipco 2000 Guineas betting market, with Ryan Moore preferring last season's Middle Park Stakes hero Ten Sovereigns over Magna Grecia, winner of the Vertem Futurity Stakes at Doncaster in October. At bigger odds, ADVERTISE (3.35) has the benefit of Frankie Dettori on board in the absence of Too Darn Hot and Advertise boasts some excellent Newmarket form on a fast surface, landing the July Stakes here and running second behind Too Darn Hot in the Dewhurst Stakes.
DEFOE (2.55) didn't live up to expectation when, along with chief market rival Young Rascal, he under-performed at Newbury on sticky ground last month. He had almost four lengths in hand of Red Verdon when powering clear in the Jockey Club Stakes 12 months ago and is fancied to follow up. Coronet and Dettori are formidable rivals. They landed the 2017 Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot and last season's Group 2 Middleton Stakes at York's Dante fixture.
POWER OF DARKNESS (1.50) gave supporters of Beringer a real scare here last month and a 2lb rise is eminently fair, with Hayley Turner likely to adopt similar waiting tactics.

2.35 Blue Templar is rated 40lbs inferior to Hurricane Darwin, 53lbs to Balleycasey and 57lbs to Josies Orders. Granted the latter 2 are in decline but has been backed into fav according to the bookies anyway.
