Alan Thomson has one bet lined up at Wolverhampton on Friday

Wolverhampton 7.15

NINE ELMS (7.15) was cut down late at Wolverhampton 11 days ago but can go one better in the 1m 1f handicap this evening.

The six-year-old struck the front over a furlong out and looked home for all money until Capriolette pounced close home. Trainer Roy Bowring has his string in fine fettle and this isn't a strong contest.

Cheltenham Podcast

Don't miss the Cheltenham Preview Podcast from Gambla where our very own Voice of Value and guest host Jim Delahunt discuss their best bets for the week ahead.

Voice of Value serves up a couple of big prices and Jim waxes lyrical about a horse who he thinks could be the new Arkle. There's also a couple Charity Bets in play, provide by WhoKnowsWins, and from which the winnings will be donated to the two causes we've been raising money for in MrFixit's honour; The Bubble Foundation and St Margaret's Hospice.

Well worth a listen at just 47 mins.

      Plug
      Ive backed gericault roque earlier.
      It’s 4-1 in a few bookies.

His win over natural history looks better now after that won last time out doing cartwheels.
Natural history is also favourite for Saturday’s big race at sandown, the imperial cup.

      Gericault roque 1-55 sandown 4-1
The bay birch 2-20 Leicester 4-1.
      And place only double.
      Gericault roque top 3 @4-5
The bay birch top 3 @8-15
      Double pays 7-4

      Won this race in 2018.
Pulled up last time, probably needed the rum after a long break.

    Found these promo’s with paddy;

11+ SP fav winners 13/2 (Skybet are 9/4 on this)
    12+ – 14/1

I reckon we have at least 6 favourite winners at the end of day 2, more likely 7+.

Looks like Roksana will go stayers now. Concertista blue across the board.
      Plenty of activity today.
O Leary has confirmed Fury Road will run in the stayers so I’ve had a saver ew on him at 12s.
I also think Samcro is too big at 16s for the Ryanair. Seems to be a forgotten horse but is 2-2 at Cheltenham and comes alive in the spring.

Last years winner of that race to bolt up again . The ground was against it last year and it had b j gerty on board 2 negatives and it still won ..paddy power the Barry geraghty thread. Read it.poppa don’t preach ,I’m in trouble deep

      2
    • double carpet 3 years ago

Nice to see some Cheltenham debate and differing opinions which is what it’s all about.
For me not having Gerathty on Epitante is a negative when you look at Aiden Colemans record at the festival, just 2 wins from 112 rides in the past 10yrs.
Obviously you have to take into account the amount of big chances he had with those mounts, but its still not a stat that would give me much confidence.
The race itself will be run at a frantic pace with so many front runners in the race. That will suit the likes of Honeysuckle, Epitante and Abacadabras.
I do think the 7lbs is too much to give the mares and can only see either winning but for me I’d much rather be on Blackmore than Coleman.
Should be a great race providing they all turn up

If Barry had retired 3 years earlier than he did he would be a legend no doubt but his form went well down the track apart from a resurgence at chelts where he got the 5 winners.. a blast from the past..lovely swan song from a once great jockey. Which begs the question ..what percentage do you think a jockey makes to the outcome of a race ? Have in mind a fair run race as we all know what a jockey can do to make a horse not win.. ain’t that right ruby?

anyone who uses this site must watch no end of races and as such must be able to spot winners better than the public. i have a decent eye and can tell you betting in play over the longer races is a serious money making opportunity. study all you like, use your eye and trust yourself on the exchange, BARD OF BRITTANY, probably couldve spotted earlier but at 4.8 in play, with over 1 mile to go, it looked to be going very nice, easy to say when it pays off but it can be free money.

    1
    • Horses ass 3 years ago

True enough insider I have pulled a few rabbits out the hat in running but what you must remember when playing is you are about 30 seconds behind what the bookie can see

      2
    • dazzman1979 3 years ago

I was on this one . Caught my eye thurs but I thought I was being a nightmare as it was putting up multiple selections. When I was first starting out following the site that’s what I found most frustrating the site throwing up winners every day but Not by any one person but over time you learn from where it hurts most in the pocket ha . I’m a bit like you lack the patience and disilpline required to play the long game . I get the money I need from work . When you accumulate hundreds , thousands , when on a good run but still feel the need it’s obviously not about the money but the win . I tested it by betting pence and realised I’m not money orientated but win oriantated . Just for today turned £20into £287 happy days but fell into the trap while I was out running and maybe not so focused the old Alan “one tip one winner “ trap hahaha my fault and stuck it all on that . If money was the issue you would get out then and wait for an Elvis nap 2 Moro and start to build some wealth haha but in my eyes I’ve lost £20 and had a days roller coaster ride of emotions . I’m happy I won off my own back and only lost from piggy backing others . To be fair I usually back myself or the regular contributors as they all have there day . I’m waiting for yours . Got the feeling your a big payday in the making but even after that we will all still come back for more torment !

It’s a hard game mate makes us all look like fools ha . But this site does create life changing money days . There’s always something someone else spots that you may have missed but may dismiss because you still can’t see how they come to a winning conclusion but it’s always the non obvious and unappealing that does the business . The more ugly my bet looks the better haha . Take last week Peters bet and voice of value bet that alone as a double looked impossible but mixed with a couple of naps would of done damage to your local bookie . Vov is proven to bang out big winners and Pete showed he’s no fluke so it was there for everyone but I guess we all get mislead by odds but when you see what odds tend to come in day in day out the ones taking the chance are the bookies hoping nobody don’t cash in on there generosity. Anyway this site will bang out winners time and time again it has done for years it’s my own lack of self control and disilpline I’ve never propheted but I do daily level stakes it’s just my winnings I’m frivolous with so in my eyes it’s money I never had . But if you want to do a long game make money I would just do a Elvis and Alan nap I would think that would see you ok . But I prefer the excitement of taking a chance with the best educated guess you can from all the opinions on the web . But I do think some people know things we don’t which makes me wonder some times . I can’t remember who posted the tip now it was not a regular and the fav was a rediculous odds on and they tipped against it and I saw it and thought why would they bet against what I think was like a 1/3 you would prob keep that bet to yourself but the fav was winning easy as expected then right near the end he fell and the tip from someone who posts so little I can’t remember now picked up the pieces and since then confirmed my suspicions Of fixing it’s to coincidental . Obv after that I kept an eye out for that tipper but never seen them again . Any way I’ll shush . Fix or no fix they don’t care what I’m picking and I don’t usually go for the fav unless one of you lot nap it ha
