Alan Thomson keeps the faith with Willie Mullins at Clonmel.
BACHASSON (4.00) is the most interesting runner on the card as Willie Mullins sends his gelding back over fences at Clonmel.
The nine-year-old proved his well-being by running a sound race behind Dame De Compagnie in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham, staying on into sixth under 11st 6lb. Bachasson handed out a 13 lengths whipping while still on the bridle to A Toi Phil over fences at Tramore a couple of seasons ago and should possess too much speed for Gordon Elliott's Death Duty.
Favourite backers got their fingers burnt when FARMIX (2.00) finished runner-up in the mud here 20 days ago. He tried to make all the running that day until collared two out and this better ground can do the trick. Chief market rival Coolagh Park had little chance against long odds-on Energumene at Gowran Park but will find this a good bit easier. Elliott applies a tongue-tie.
Another favourite, SHANTOU SISU (3.00), lost out on the nod to Shopping Around over 2m 2f at the same meeting and this front-runner should appreciate a drop to the minimum trip.

Tipped up by Tony Mullins during the attheraces Cheltenham preview night as going to win at Navan the day after Cheltenham, didn’t run that day and has its first race today.
That’s a very interesting bumper.
Yes Tony Mullins did say he would win but that was for the race at Navan. This is a decent bumper with some smart types who will win plenty of races.
Elliott’s horse wasnt beaten far by Ferny Hollow last time and we know he went on to win at cheltenham.
Kilcruit was 5/4 last night and now 5/2.
If I was backing anything in the race I’d be waiting until close to the off.

What do you make of this royal Ascot behind closed doors idea ?.
Will be a load of cack for me, ascot us the Cheltenham of the flat, all about the pomp and ceremony, big crowds.
This will be like kempton on a wet Thursday evening, no crowd, no atmosphere, horses won’t have run so can’t call them championship races, only happening because of the royal element.
They could have run the Guinness meeting, Derby meeting on the same basis but again the winners would have been devalued in the history books.
All these meetings should have been rescheduled for a couple of months after some sort of normal resumption, even if it’s a reduced crowd with social distancing in place, giving horses a chance to have at least a pipe opener.

My thoughts exactly Elvis what hurts is we could have some excellent horse in training that we won’t see I promise you that betting a meeting like this will be mine field.
For those smaller stables that need to run horses because they don’t have the facilities at home or those that uses local tracks for warm ups have had their dreams shattered
And it leaves it open to the Americans like wez ward whose horses are fit and ready and will 100% be allowed to run to take the money.
Haggas did the right thing shipping horses over to oz bet he’s got loads there running out. O’Brien will be fine he’s got a full track at home .
