MOUNT MAYON (1.00) swerved his intended engagement yesterday to wait for the 7f handicap at Lingfield.
Ivan Furtado made a wise decision not to take on a couple of improving three-year-olds at Southwell and the four-year-old will be happier racing against his own age-group.
Mount Mayon scored on debut before finishing runner-up over seven furlongs at Lingfield and wears cheekpieces for the first time.

The 1m 5f handicap sees a re-match between MURHIB (3.45) and Torolight, separated by three-quarters of a length over a furlong shorter a fortnight ago.
My selection was closing down on the winner close home and previously held off Arabescato over this longer distance. The runner-up scored with plenty in hand under Ryan Moore here last Saturday.

OK. This was 250/1 earlier this morning and now 100/1. I’d advise a small e/w extra on it. Famous last words 2.25 Newbury. It ran 3rd over this course a couple of runs back. It might sneak into the places GL
