For the first time in a while I had quite a successful Saturday with two wins and two placed efforts. I still believe Delgrey Boy could've won with a better ride, ideally with a stronger and experienced rider on board. I think he is one to keep the right side of, as he will win a big handicap at some point during the season.

Nothing really stood out to me as a bet on Sunday other than the favourite in the third race at Wetherby, MONTASSIB. This horse is on the boundaries of going below EVS, currently floating around the 11/10 mark, which isn't the best of odds but in a race of this nature I think he will be tough to beat.
The time away from the track is probably the biggest concern for this horse, as he hasn't been seen since his debut win from 2020. That normally means there have been problems, but the fact he has come back to the track is positive and clearly the problems he did have, have now gone. He made a promising debut at Newcastle towards the back end of the 2020 flat season. The form of that race has worked out better than anyone probably expected, with the 2nd since winning and currently being rated 89 before he moved to USA. The 3rd has racked up 4 wins, and on his first start of the 2022 flat turf season in France he finished 2nd, producing an RPR of 104. Other horses in behind those front 3 at Newcastle have become average horses, including a couple of 70 rated horses, but overall the form is strong, when compared to this race which looks weak.
William Haggas is 3/9 at this track in the last five years, which is a good indicator that he is ready of running a nice race on return, as it's clearly not a track he sends many runners to, and he could've saved him from travelling too far away from his stables with a potential race at Newmarket.
Eetee looks the most likely rival who could pose a threat, but he's got a 335 day break to overcome, but does have an official rating 84.
