MOHAREB (2.45) must go close in the 7f handicap at Lingfield. Mick Appleby's gelding failed narrowly to cope with Northernpowerhouse at Newcastle 13 days ago, much to the dismay of punters who had backed him into 2-1 favourite.
Mohareb posted a Lingfield victory over six furlongs at the end of November and stall three is an ideal post position. Jackstar made all to score at Wolverhampton and should ensure a decent gallop. That will suit my selection as well as northern raider Luis Vaz De Torres, a previous course winner. Tipperary Jack is the other one to consider but Mohareb has been in good heart lately.
