EMD is 8/1 to place in the top 4 (£10 wins £80), £5ew at 55/1 (place wins £50), obv you have the win covered but given it’s 100/1 the extra profit in the place market seems more favourable. if you actually think it can win, you could take away from your place stake, say £4 and still win £48 that £4 can then be put on the nose or even two places ew at 150/1.

SC has been poor in his last four outings but was 2nd in this race last year off 133 and has won here off 130, he goes off 123 today and is another who wont mind the ground, an old boy by a big price.
Tricky race with a few in with shouts, I had a niggling feeling about KAPONO but given we aren’t much shorter I have opted for the tried and tested RATHBONE, here, a year ago off 89 and 90 he came 2nd twice, 1.25l behind GROUP 1 winner Glen Shiel, with the claimer, we run off 82 and all begin well at the prices, can’t really be ignored (on paper at least).
INTN is back over a CD he has gone close over from 2lbs lower, trainer is in form and should be in the mix, haven’t checked other rivals and gave a mention above about K FOY who runs 1 in this.
I am going to chance 1630 Nwc GLASVEGAS 4/1, a lot to like from the form of his 4th on 21/11/20 up in class and yet to win for this trainer but worth looking at, 13/8 top 2, 5/6 top 3. I haven’t checked rivals so could’ve easily missed a stand out, same goes for most of the picks sorry. 1405 Wth ERAGONE 13/2 is another chancy one, up against a few big names and 2 places paid is off putting but some loose change will be tossed at that, is 5/4 for top 3 which isn’t really value.
New name to me K FOY, only had 12 runners, took him 6 races to bag a winner but has had 3 from his next 6. Has two tomorrow, first at Newcastle MINSTER current 3/1 fav and in the last at Lingfield, CONSTRAINT 10/1 may be worth a look.
