LOOK OUT LOUIS (7.30), a winner on both his last two starts, can complete a fairly quick hat-trick at Ripon this evening.
Tim Easterby's sprinter handled good to soft ground when scoring at Thirsk and good to firm proved no obstacle to success at Haydock 12 days ago. Look Out Louis is up 5lb and emerges from the widest draw, but the form of that Thirsk win, in particular, is working out well. Third horse Fairy Stories strolled home at Nottingham a few days ago and 9-2 with Paddy Power is a big price.
FUTURE INVESTMENT (9.00) could be over-priced at 9-2 in the concluding 1m 2f Novice Stakes. Ralph Beckett's gelding must carry a penalty for his Chester success, which followed a promising introduction at Windsor when a well-held third to Telecaster. It's hard to see him finishing out of the frame, with Dubai Tradition respected at shorter odds.
GOLDEN PARADE (7.00) is a big each-way price in the sprint handicap. He has been brought along steadily by his astute trainer and was dropped 2lb on the back of a never-nearer fifth to Smile A Mile at Haydock. There is probably much more to come and the betting will be informative. Favourite Cardano ran out a worthy winner on soft ground at Nottingham and connections will welcome any rain.
MISTER CHIANG (2.35) is stepped up in trip by Mark Johnston at Nottingham and would have solid each-way claims in the 1m 6f handicap if able to repeat his fourth to Good Birthday at Doncaster's Lincoln fixture. He didn't appear to handle soft ground when seventh to useful Sam Cooke at Chester last time but this is bit easier.
