THERE was no Pleasant Surprise as my 7-1 tip finished second at Newmarket but I remain in profit for the month.
I'm 5.11pts up after two Saturday losers but hoping to bounce back with three picks on Sunday.

What do people think of Caravaggio today? Terrible run last time and odds on looks too short. I want to take him on with an each way horse priced around 10s. Rosa Imperial is an interesting runner at 11s.
Was thinking Brando might run well at around 6/4 to be placed GL

Thought it was a decent run by Caravaggio with everything that went on, unsettled in stalls, slow away and hampered, he is the one to beat but I like Rosa Imperial, unraced at 2 & 3 so is still open to bags of improvement but does need to improve another I like is FAS who was also very impressive last time out
Can either beat Caravaggio?
They need to improve but at 11/1 ROSA IMPERIAL & 18/1 FAS they are worth a go

First up on Monday is ROYAL RESERVE a horse I tipped two runs ago and I thought he was unlucky as I thought Shelley Birkett gave him too much to do then last time out he was unlucky again, sat near the back he came cruising up the home straight but on the far rail was short of room, he had to be checked and pulled out, he ended up finishing well to get third, there is no doubt with a clear run Royal Reserve would have won, Royal Reserve runs off a 7lb lower mark on Monday and has Daniel Tudhope on for the first time
Montanna is definitely the main danger but I have to be on Royal Reserve again
Next up nearly an hour later is BHINDI, this horse also should have won last time, she came with a winning run only to be carried a long way across the track by the horse that finished second who was disqualified and Bhindi promoted to second, on Monday she can get compensation by winning this easier race
