An even bigger field goes to post for the 5f handicap and ROYAL BRAVE (3.15) signalled a return to form with a close third to Economic Crisis at Musselburgh. He prefers fast ground, so conditions should suit, and William Hill go five places.

There’s no denying Royal Brave has slipped drastically down the weights. Two years ago he was racing off 88 in a Class 2, today he goes off 64 in a Class 6, that combined with his 3rd lto, brings a glimmer of hope but it is literally the only time he’s come close to winning in two years, at 4/1 with 5 places paid, he is an absolute watch brief.
With 5 places at 8/1, UNDERCOVER BROTHER may JUST about be worth chancing despite being 5lbs above his close 2nd here in June, if you like him, 16/1 HELLO GIRL may be worth siding with since she beat him that day and is 3lbs worse off for a 3/4l victory. His trainer does his best work here and also runs NOT ON YOUR NELLIE 11/1, 4lbs above last win in July.
If BURTONWOOD 18/1 had a claimer on, I may’ve been salivating, form figures of 23212 at the track, the jockey booking is offputting but 5 places at 18/1 is viable. HAWK IN THE SKY has won over CD, and 1lb below his last win, trainer also had 100/1 2nd in first race here today, he’s 40/1. Groundworker 1lb below his last win, Atyaaf won this time last year over CD off same mark too.

i didn’t select 6 horses, i just make a shortlist when studying and then do my write up, mentioning a bit about a few that may go close. i capitalised 5 horses, 3 of them were in the top 3, all at double figure prices, i am only here to try help, with nothing to gain…. so if you have nothing constructive to say, as a non-contributor, i do not see why you’d ridicule me, hopefully some benefitted, cheers.

Took Namoos(4/5)from Sore Point(cheers) to go with Present Chief8/11) which both end up heavy favs due to NRs….So I’m waiting on Tarqeer in 5.20 at 2/5 which is now 1/3 for nice treble!
