LEVER DU SOLEIL (4.30) gave the bookies a spanking at Musselburgh last week and the Irish raider can dish out similar treatment at Ayr. Gavin Cromwell was in red-hot form at his local Bellestown festival last week and Lever Du Soleil should cope with this fairly sharp drop in trip, with Corton Lad likely to ensure a sound gallop.
WILD HOPE (4.00) is a reasonable price given his liking for fast ground. Kevin Ryan's gelding had subsequent winner Harvey Dent more than three lengths adrift when third to progressive Southern Rocks at Hamilton and is a rock-solid ew bet if all eight stand their ground.
Linda Perratt is keeping JORDAN ELECTRICS (3.00) fairly busy and her sprinter was just denied by Firmdecisions at Hamilton last week. Jordan Electrics ran well over five furlongs at Ayr back in May but is probably a little better when tackling this extra furlong. Mark Johnston's Warning Fire made all to win handsomely at Haydock last Saturday and will surely go close under a fixed penalty.
At Ripon, JUST HUBERT (7.40) is turned out only four days after his solid third in better grade at Newbury. He had no chance on the book with easy winner Logician but stayed on into third. Just Hubert should certainly outrun his over-generous odds if handling this undulating track.
