Carlisle 2.10
DETECTIVE (2.10) has been in devastating form this summer at Carlisle and Dianne Sayer’s gelding has a clear form chance in the 1m 1f handicap.
His last six runs have all come at the Cumbrian track, yielding form figures 1-2-1-1-2-2, and his latest effort off a higher mark behind Molinari nine days ago was another solid effort.
Carlisle 5.32
Wots The Wifi Code is trading at short odds to land the concluding gentleman amateur riders’ handicap but having had my fingers burnt on the top weight at Hamilton last week I’ll be looking elsewhere.
ELUSIVE HEIGHTS (5.32) was a close-up second over course and distance earlier this month, looking the winner under reeled in by favourite Strangerontheshore. The eight-year-old has since run okay in a better contest at Beverley and his jockey rode a couple of winners back in May.
Ffos Las 3.40
ROYAL PARTNERSHIP (3.40) edged out good old stick Pactolus at Yarmouth on quick ground and he can follow up in the 1m 2f handicap at Ffos Las. It is a bit of a surprise to see Saeed Bin Suroor fit a first-time tongue-tie and visor, but the boys in blue are in tip-top form.
Cadeau D’or posted a fine fourth behind Irish raider Moon Daisy in the Racing League clash at Doncaster three weeks ago and this shorter trip may prove ideal.
Lingfield 5.40
A high draw in sprints is often advantageous on Lingfield’s turf track and MANIGORDO (5.40) has the plum slot in stall ten.
Tim Easterby’s gelding ran a cracking fourth in the 20-runner Great St Wilfrid Handicap at Ripon, ‘winning’ his race on the unfavoured far side.

I’m not a big fan of the all weather but Hot Romance 4.32 Chelmsford could be worth an ew extra when you can get it. Ran on over 7f to finish 3rd at this venue and steps up to a mile. Around 66s at the moment
