NEWCASTLE have been working round the clock to save Thursday's fixture, so fingers crossed it passes a morning inspection.

Taking a chance on Salt Wind 5/2 3.50.
Was only beaten 1 3/4 L by Fun Light who ran a respectable 6th in a grade 1 to Appreciate it at Leopardstown on Sunday.
Back in 4th was Julies Stowaway and he also ran well on Sunday coming 4th in a big field h’cap and I think that’s the strongest form in the race. I also think the step up in trip will also benefit.
Dunboyne has been 2nd to Bob Olinger and Capodanno. The latter runs in the previous race today and if he hacks up could give his form a big boost.
Meticulous has also been highly tried but hasn’t run since last June so I’m hoping will need this.
