PONTEFRACT specialist HIGHWAYGREY (2.05) can register his fifth course and distance success in the 1m 2f handicap.

He is up another 5lb for his most recent victory and may have most to fear from top weight Arctic Sound, back to something like his best when third at Ayr last week. Ralph Beckett's Victory Chimes didn't settle at Chester and is better than that latest run.

DARK JEDI (2.40) has enjoyed a good summer and his second to Euchen Glen in the Old Borough Cup at Haydock sets the benchmark for this 1m 4f handicap. Floating Artist has been racing out of his depth lately but Richard Hannon lowers his sights. Not So Sleepy developed into a very smart hurdler last season and is interesting on his comeback.

    Perth.
    1-10 big penny 11-10 top 3 finish

    1-45 red missile 5-2
Bought from Willie haggas, should stay ok and Lucinda Russell’s horses ran well on Wednesday here.

    2-15 not that fuisse 3-1.
Has had a run over large obstacles unlike his market rivals and goes well fresh.

2-50 check my pulse 11-10 top 3 finish.
Some potentially decent horses in opposition and carries a penalty for an easy win last time out, hopefully his hurdle experience could see him place.

    4-00 katalystic 5-1.
Last time out winner from in form Russell yard.

Not really bud, took 11-10 place for the 11-2 winner so bit pissed really 😁.
Pleased with not that fuisse though.

Had a washout on the nags yesterday so anything today is a bonus.

the 14:25 on skybet is an 8 horse race, and they are paying FOUR PLACES.

the race is actually a bit tricky to be confident about anything. the 9/4 fav GFM has been beaten by lady of aran a year ago and is 4lbs worse off for a length defeat so doesn’t offer any value, the main jockey also steps off.

o’meara is in sparkling form, has harry bentley on too betsy trotter 11/2, 4 places, i mean it looks like you’ll get a tiny profit backing ew.

i am chancing FLIPPA THE STRIPPA at 10/1, 4 places with no great certainty, it’ll only be her 3rd start over 6f, had the rail the whole time lto when 2nd in a c4, goen up to c2 and up 1lb in the ratings so lots against her so throwaway stakes yet again, had good success last ‘tip’ but means nothing now, and is one i should probably not even mention, but best of luck, the 4 places was too tempting.

mulrennan actually does ride gale force maya regularly so maybe main jockey not being on means nothing. jockey/trainer not teamed up for for a winner in last 50 rides at least though. think she is the right fav but 10 mins to off nuff said, BOL.

    • insider 4 years ago

LADY OF ARAN, always trust you’re first pick I suppose, FLIPPA places so onwards.

points of interest in the 16:20

Lezardrieux 10/3 was 2nd over 5f lto on soft. won nto at today’s track over 6f, gone up 3lbs but the same jockey is on and his 3lb claim is used today to mean he runs off the same mark back down over 5f.

ahead of him in the market… i think abate is capable off 80 but has only won off 75 and has gone off the boil in his last few runs. james watt market leader is also far too short for me, although a year ago was rated 12lbs higher and was contesting better races than this.

mews house has a cd win to his name from the summer is only 2lbs above that and is the 8/1 outsider, stott on the fav has been on this horse numerous occaisions, joe fanning is a top man but that is a little perculiar. MH lost to mushariff by a neck but is 6lbs better off.

easy street revue 7/1 won the race MH and MUSH contested, ESR is 2 worse off with MH, and it should be tight, esr connections have beaten Lezardrieux with another horse and may know what’s required. hes only up just 2lbs for his win, does do most of his winning a notch below this level and in big field hcaps.

on sky EW is 2 places only but there is a place market for 3 places, 10 5 7 8 2 9 is my hopeful thinking

leza photo 2nd, jockey couldve blocked winner up inside but didnt want to :( 8/13 top 3 was disgusting price but was free money though.

  8. Sore point 4 years ago

data shows how hard it is the one you had to come last number 9 wins.

And mine ran a stinker as well

    • insider 4 years ago

haha yes, admittedly it caught my eye first with hanagan on, but then i looked and discounted it, but it was more of me overlooking easy things than it being a hard one, although it was tricky enough… that was more a error in judgement from me though tbh, the horse had won here twice before on similar marks so to put him down as last was crazy :(
