Alan Thomson has a brace of juicy bets at Wolverhampton on Friday.
HERMOCRATES (5,45) deserves a change of luck and is fancied to break a frustrating sequence of close calls by landing the 2m handicap at Wolverhampton.
John Mackie’s gelding has finished runner-up on his last five starts but seems genuine enough. Hermocrates produced possibly his best run to date over 1m 6f here in early January when a close second to My Girl Maggie. The winner is a solid yardstick and my selection has since chased home Manjaam over two miles at Newcastle.
Keith Dalgleish has a fancied runner in Howzer Black at Lingfield and stable companion CHOOKIE DUNEDIN (4.45) is despatched to the Midlands with a big chance in the 7f handicap. The gelding is usually campaigned over six furlongs but ran well over this trip 22 days ago when staying on into third behind Baby Steps and Tintoretto.

A horse called kildimo runs in the 1-32 Doncaster, I thought the name rang a bell so I googled it and a horse with the exact same name came 2nd in the 1988 king George at kempton behind the legendary desert orchid.

True Romance is a dual purpose horse formerly trained by Julia Brooke and tipped on this platform before.
There is also a very good horse in France called True Romance which has won stakes races including on Arc day !!!
Very unlikely that the French horse would come over to Catterick, but what would happen if they were both entered in the same race ? Which owner would have to change their horse’s name ?
Ibleos the daddy for me I was waiting to see what he would open up at .
Backed True Romance a few times,win and it being my favourite film but it’s not that horse from France I’m sure it was UK but interesting.
After yesterday I’m on a mission (after getting my $s back) too find some winners. US was better with Doubke and Integratesvat 3/1 winning.
