TRAINER Ivan Furtado is so hot he could heat the Albert Hall and HECTOR’S HERE (4.40) can complete his course hat-trick in the extended 1m handicap at Wolverhampton.
The fact he hasn’t had a run in 31 days, since beating re-opposing Roller, is of little concern as Hector’s Here previously had been absent for 53 days before launching his winning streak. Capriolette finds it hard to get her nose in front but Ed Walker’s mare has been running consistently at Kempton and Lingfield on the back of a Wolverhampton fifth to useful Snow Ocean at the beginning of December.
Andrew Balding’s MELODY OF LIFE (1.10) is probably the one to beat in the 7f novice stakes at Lingfield after two creditable placed efforts at Kempton and Chelmsford City. La Tihaty, representing Roger Varian, ran third in a similar contest here a fortnight ago.
Striking grey UNCLE BERNIE (2.40) had today's likely favourite Ballydoyle back in sixth when running third to Social City over course and distance in November and has a solid each-way chance in the two-mile handicap. Alcock And Brown has been in fair form over timber and is interesting on his first Flat start since 2016.
