Monday ended up around EVS if you backed all three selections to the same stake, with Eminency winning but had a 20p rule 4. The other two selections were terrible, with Idoapologise running far too keen in the early stages, resulting in him having no chance later in the race. Tiger Beetle was horrendous, and it's hard to believe he's that bad when you consider the pedigree he has, but it shows you can be related to some good horses and it means nothing.

I don't think this race is that competitive, even though we have last year's winner Hidden Depths having a go at making a return to retain his crown in this race, I don't think it should be too difficult for the lightly raced GORDONS AURA to stamp his authority and prove he is too well-handicapped off a mark of 66.
We all know the plans for Sir Mark Prescott, who is known for running horses over distances far too short in the first three runs of the horse's career, before massively upping them in trip on handicap debut, where they usually win with a fair bit in hand, before going on a good winning streak and improving their handicap mark by 20+ lbs in the process. This horse suits that profile, having a strong staying pedigree, being by Golden Horn, he should appreciate this step up to 14f and can win this with a fair bit in hand. He might need the run on seasonal reappearance, but it shouldn't matter too much, as I don't think he will have to be 100% to win a race of this nature.

A filly who is odds-on but should take the world of beating is EBAIYRA. I won't be backing her as a single bet as she is simply too short, and I'll probably put her in a multiple bet as this is a big step drown in class. She finished 3rd at Newmarket last time behind Dreamloper, who has since gone on to win a Group 1. Ebaiyra was staying on all the time at Newmarket and looked as if a step up in trip would help her in the future, as she had previously run over 10f, so it's not a surprise seeing her back over this trip, and against this opposition, it would be a shame and a surprise if she didn't win this before going onto bigger and better races.
