ANOTHER excellent Saturday for me yesterday with three out of my four tips winning and I have a couple of tips for today (Sunday) at The Curragh that I thought I should share.
1.20pm The Curragh
There will no doubt be a few crafty Irish plot jobs for this one but I have never claimed to be able to spot those with any degree of certainty. The one that I think is overpriced is one coming across from the UK which I know well. GULLIVER has been raced on soft ground and the all weather for his last two runs and that might not have been ideal for him. Today he will have a sounder surface, the benefits of Danny Tudhope onboard and is 3lb lower than his respectable run at Goodwood three starts ago. Some bookies including Paddy Power and Betfair are offering 6 places each way so let's take advantage of that. I am quite keen on this one so I'm going for 2 points each way where I might normally go for 1pt each way at this sort of price.
6.00pm The Curragh
My second tip you will need to wait nearly 5 hours for because the two tips bookend a card with an incredible 9 races on it. I must admit that I can't remember ever seeing a UK or Irish racecard with 9 races on it. A real treat for the punters heading along to The Curragh today. The one that I like is NICKAJACK CAVE for Ger Lyons and ridden by Colin Keane. He is a lightly raced 3 year old who was stepped up to Group 3 class last time but couldn't make an impression. This return to handicap company will be ideal and I think the conditions look ideal for him.
