Ironclad scored twice last season over today’s 1m 2f trip and should figure along with potentially well-treated Al Rasmah, course specialist Glasses Up and lightly-raced Master The Stars.
EASTERN SHERIFF (3.00) has to be forgiven a poor run at Newmarket 18 days ago but the ground was very testing that day. He is probably better judged on his Ripon romp when pulling clear to score by more than six lengths. Third horse Socially Shady has won twice since to boost the value of the form. Cheek-pieces are applied for this intriguing 1m 5f handicap.
A strong gallop looks assured with Sociologist likely to re-employ the trailblazing tactics which worked a treat at Hamilton. Stockbridge Tap has shown promise on both career starts and looks a live threat.
MISS NAY NEVER (12.55) ran with promise on debut at Thirsk (third) and wasn’t disgraced although ultimately well beaten by Sardinia Sunset at York. The winner is favourite to land the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood tomorrow.

The big thing for me is the fact he drops back to 7f having run over 8/10f. Likes to be up with the pace. Drawn 8 so if he can break well could be hard to pass and 14s is too big for me.

He’s on his highest mark but upped to 12f and I think that will suit and will enjoy the conditions
6.45 Magnetic North
Lto was 4th to Patrick Sarsfield who went in again and was 3rd in a group 1 in Germany on his last run giving the form a huge boost.
7.45 Woods
Since arriving from the Haggas yard has been dropped 15lbs. He has put in a few stinkers but lto was only beaten 4L and didnt get a clear run. Been dropped 3lbs for that run. Not sure if today will be the day but I’m sure there’s a win in him at some stage.
8.15 Nostra Casa
Think this trip will bring out the best in him.

I did Alan t double yesterday. First one won second one lost but I complained that should have been a void bet on second horse as didnt get fair ride as unseated immediately. Not sure if anyone else questioned it but I got the bet voided and settled as a winner so worth a query. Bet was placed with hills. Cheers for the good work as always alan

Personally i think this race is primed for SPACE BLUES. However, i can see Duke of hazard getting really close, based on the course and distance records and he loves to run here.
