MORNING SPIRIT (4.30) fared as well as could be expected when chasing home Highway One O Two at Plumpton last month and has prospects of going one better at Exeter.
Highway One O Two came out to land a Grade 2 hurdle from West Cork at Kempton so that was a solid performance from Morning Spirit. Jonjo O'Neill's gelding has to concede 15lb to hat-trick seeking Demopolis which is quite a tall order. However, Demopolis made hard work of landing the odds at Ludlow last week and is 5lb higher.
Southwell is home-from-home for TIGRAY (5.30) and he is back in action on the Fibresand. A previous course and distance winner, Tigray is fancied to land quite a tight 1m 4f seller. Pumblechook threw in the towel when challenged last time and bigger threats may be First Flight and Vampish.
