Cool Lightning ran out a winner for the thread after making all and winning on the line by roughly a head.
It was nice to get a winning selection on the board for the week, always pressure when stepping in to cover rizz as he always leaves big shoes to fill.
Fingers crossed I can continue that over the course of the week.
I've gone for 2 selections tomorrow.
My main NAP and I've thrown up another double similar to the one that I put up on Tuesday.
Haaland 6/4 – 17:45 Southwell
This is an interesting little race, mainly as every single runner in the field takes a step up in trip. That does make it a bit of a minefield as some will relish it more than others and each runner is entering unknown territory as such.
I think from all the runners Haaland looks the safest option and given the nature of his previous victory last time out at Lingfield where he stayed on nicely I would assume this step-up in trip will be no issue.
Haaland ran a bit green in patches but certainly made an encouraging start to handicap company and should hopefully settle a bit better this evening.
Young jockey Billy Loughnane rode Haaland last time out at Lingfield and retains the ride.
