An Tailliur, the sole selection on Tuesday, won at Exeter. I can't really comment on the race as Exeter was covered by a ridiculous amount of fog which made the race impossible to watch. Either way, the selection was a winner, so that's all that matters.
Fontwell 1:55
A horse who needs to bounce back to form, but there are signs that he could, is DAREBIN. I love this horse, and I've won a couple of times from this horse, and when he's on song, he is a tough horse to pass. More often than not with this horse, he is horrendous on his seasonal reappearance, but often turns it around on his second run, where his fitness is much better than his first run. His record when running fresh is 0/10 if you include his first ever run. However, his record on his second appearance after a break reads 4/7 which speaks for itself.
A mark of 110 makes Darebin fairly treated on his previous wins. He has won off 109, 117 (2x), 118, 119 and 123, which goes to show that his current handicap mark makes him an attractive proposition. Similar to last year, when his mark dropped to a low mark he capitalised on that and won (this was when he dropped to 109).
There are a couple of horses who arrive in good form. Go As You Please arrives with a recent win, and that win was over another rival in this race, Royal Plaza. There's only a 2lb swings in the weights between those horses, so I'd imagine the outcome between that match will end up the same. Go As You Please has done all of his winning in Class 5 company, and when he tried a Class 4 race he was comfortably beaten, and the same could happen here in a better race than what he was contested. The other inform horse would be Creative Inerta, but I'm not totally sold on the form of this horse, and off top weight of 12st, he'll have a tough task on his hands. Whoshotwho is a horse who is ridiculously well handicapped, but hasn't won in three years, so it's best to look past him, unless the money arrives.
Darebin is often used as a front runner, especially in the races in which he wins. There could be a bit of competition for the lead, but it's not a guarantee. Hopefully, they will let Darebin roll out and run from the front. I think it's interesting that Gary Moore has opted for the first time cheekpieces, as that also signals a front running ride could be in store, and they will be used to keep him on track and perk him up.
Teenage Dirtbag 3.40 Fontwell 7/1 at the moment. Not really my sort of price as you know, but it gets a good write up. Trainer 3 from 4 this season at Fontwell and it’s his only runner. Carries a light weight with a 10 pound claimer but usually runs over further, but if the forecast rain arrives, it could turn into a slog which will aid his cause.
