Alan Thomson produced two winners from three selection at Cheltenham on Saturday and switches to Ireland for his feature bet
MENGLI KHAN (12.30) is worth a look at Navan now that Gordon Elliott has decided to switch him back to hurdles.
Mengli Khan's career has faltered over fences since his superb third to Summerville Boy and Kalashnikov in the 2018 Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham. He has been keeping good company over the larger obstacles but may have lost a little confidence or become jaded.
His official rating entitles him to figure prominently in this 15-runner handicap hurdle and with Paddy Power and William Hill both offering five places at odds of 15-2, Mengli Khan is a tempting each-way proposition.
Joseph O'Brien's four-year-old Top Moon is a worthy favourite on the back of a fine victory at Cork but a 7lb rise makes things a bit harder.
The domestic UK action is very ordinary but CLOUDY GLEN (1.20) should be all the better for his comeback effort at Exeter when fading out of contention after leading four out. He will carry a modest wager at Carlisle.
