Alligator Alley made us wait till 8:45pm to land us a win, but when they win you can never complain. He cruised into the race as I thought he would on the back of a predicted strong pace and when Badri came to challenge it was all about whether AA would find extra under pressure and he did. 9/2 drift if you got on him this morning, which seems a little odd to have seen him drift in the market.
Thirsk 3:20 – Ingra Tor 7/2 (1pt Bet365)
This is a good Class 3 sprint so I think it's eye-catching that Jack Channon has sent Ingra Tor up to Thirsk and has booked William Buick.
It's a bit of a risk backing Ingra Tor as he is making a return from 144 days, which is far from ideal but the booking of William Buick would suggest that he is ready to rock and roll after such a big absence. The Channon yard could've easily found a similar opportunity down south, closer to their yard so it's a vote of confidence that they are willing to travel with him on the back of a decently long break.
This is a step back in grade for Ingra Tor as he was contesting Class 2 contests earlier this year on the AW which saw him run some big races in defeat. He was 4th/10 in a 0-105, just 1.75L behind the winner. The time after he finished 2nd/12, 0.75L behind the winner in another 0-105 which had some very classy handicap horses who have franked the form since with the likes of Badri and Navello to name a couple. He is just as versatile on the turf, he was 2nd to Love De Vega who was a winning selection the other day, as well as beating Harry Three who has since gone from an 89-rated horse to a 109-rated horse.
There's plenty of racing on Friday, but it's all pretty shoddy racing. Saturday looks much better so I'd rather keep the betting bank safe and possibly have a few more on Saturday. Good luck with whatever you're having a bet on, and as always put your fancies in the chat!
