Racing tips: Daughter of Dubawi catches the eye for handicap debut

Sunday's sole runner of the day was a non-runner which is always annoying. Effernock Fizz landed the spoils in that race under a game front running ride and the Irish raider collected the prize money and showed that whenever they send one over they have to be highly respected.

Musselburgh 4:10

With no jumps actions on Monday I've returned to the flat for a couple of selections, the first one is a William Haggas runner in Scotland, which is generally a tip in itself.

QUEENLET makes the trip up to Musselburgh from her Newmarket base in an attempt to get her first win of the campaign. This race isn't going to be a walkover by any means, with it being a competitive Class 3 race on paper with some hardy handicappers in the shape of Sound Of Iona and Gometa Ginty who will have their backers. Still, they are outnumbered by the 3yo's who have swarmed this race and I believe the unexposed daughter of Kingman is the one to be on.

It was good to see her bounce back to form at the start of October where she finished 3rd at Newmarket as she was underwhelming in September after 143 days off the track. She clearly needed that run and came on plenty for it as she ran a much better race the next time. I don't think she was 100% for that race either, so with that extra run under her belt she should be firing on all cylinders today and the fact they are happy to travel with her suggests they think she is on a good handicap mark to get the job done.

William Haggas is in good form as ever, operating at a 16% SR in the last 14 days and a 24% SR for the season, not to mention a 41% SR at this track in the last five years (7 wins from 17 runners).

Yarmouth 4:30

I'm going to be taking a risk on UNFORGETABLE MOVE to improve for her handicap debut.

Based on her form she should be finishing towards the back of this race, which looks like a fairly weak race full of average horses but when you look at her pedigree it screams a horse who should be so much better than what she's shown on her first three runs.

She is by Dubawi and out of a dual Listed and Group 2 winner, Unforgettable Filly. Though she's not shown much from her races to date, the fact they are coming to Yarmouth gives me the impression they think she is ready to start winning and go through the handicap. The reason for that is due to the distance they are willing to travel to find a suitable race. Hugo Palmer now trains in Cheshire in Tom Dascombe's old stables, so the distance to Yarmouth is around a 10-hour round trip, which isn't cheap and is a long way to go to come back empty-handed.

James Doyle is a positive jockey booking and is a guy who knows the mother of this horse very well, winning on her when landing a Group 2 in Germany.

The market hasn't latched onto anything with her, which is good as she is still a decent EW bet to my eyes, however, I'd like to see some market support which would suggest they fancy their chances with her.
