I can only apologise for the last week or so. The selections have been well below par, with yesterday being a clear example of that.

I cannot believe Master Chewy got beat, especially with the winner carrying a penalty. I think Sam Twiston gave him a shocker by giving the winner an easy 4L lead around the final bend by letting him go up in the inside, that cost him that race.

Doireann was shocking. I don't know why she was that bad, potentially a ground problem. Pemberley was in the midst of getting his second wind and might've finished in the places if it wasn't for clattering a fence on the back straight of the final circuit.

Musselburgh 1:45

For some reason, whenever I back a Brian Hughes ride he either gives it a stinker or the horse is terrible, but I refuse to believe that CREATIVE CONTROL isn't on a good rating.

This horse beat one of my selections when winning at this track a month or so ago. That was his first try at 3m and it looked to have worked a treat. Brian was very patient that day like he normally is and I thought he gave him a great ride, so fingers crossed he can do something similar today.

This race is a little tougher than the one he won, but he won it by 6L and has only gone up by 6lbs by the handicapper, so there should still be more to come off his handicap mark. 3m appears to be his best trip and he clearly likes this track and won of soft ground, so seems to have a fair amount in his favour.

only one other caught my eye at Musselburgh, but I wasn't too confident so I left them out, but for those who'd want them they were: Russian Virtue in the 2:15. He won nicely at Ayr last time out, but I think that race was an egg and spoon race, he might be up to winning but you have some horses in this race who might be a danger like Smart Lass, so I decided to leave it out.

I saw the master chewy race and to be honest the winner showed more guts as they turned for home neck and neck, especially with the extra weight.
Sometimes it’s when the chips are down you find a horse’s true worth and hanshard showed he is worth following.
Master chewy will win races too but hanshard is the better horse I reckon

Ashkhabad 3.15 Muss. Anyone remember this one from a couple of months ago. Opened up 12s, then out to 125s, back in to 50s, then into 7/2 fav before drifting to 7s before the off. Someone was obviously expecting better from it. 33s at the moment and hasn’t moved since last night. Be interesting to see if the money comes again. I’ll give it another go today but won’t be going mad on it. Wears a hood today
