Racing tips: Corinthia Knight’s handicap mark gives him every chance of winning at Windsor

Sunday's selections didn't go to plan, more of that being aimed at the French race. He was in stall 1 but broke quite slow and then was keen in behind. Geocentric got to the front as expected at Naas but couldn't sustain the gallop and was beaten into 3rd. I couldn't have picked the winner if you gave me 2 weeks to study the race, so it was a weird and unexpected winner in my opinion.

I'm going to give a chance to CORINTHIA KNIGHT to return to form. It's not one of my favourite things backing horses which are out of form as you are taking a risk on them returning to form, but the way Corinthia Knight has been ridden in recent times has suggested that they were getting his handicap mark down. This horse has always been effective from front running rides and they haven't installed those tactics on him recently. As a result of his poor runs over the winter, his handicap mark has dropped to 73 from as high as 95 from last October. He's a horse with ability still as he showed when running really well in sprint races last summer where he recorded two wins in July at Pontefract off marks of 88 and 92. It's ironic they bring him to Windsor off this low mark as he has always been best running from the front and there's not many tracks better for front runners than Windsor. He's got the plum draw of stall 1 so if they are trying with him today then have the perfect opportunity to grab the rail and try and make all. Archie Watson started the turf season off quite slowly but his form in last 2 weeks has been much better (32% SR). Hollie gets back on board which is a positive and at the current prices I think he is worth a small ew play.
