Acaro 8/1 is up 7lbs for a 12 length victory LTO off 107. In 2nd was Marmont, he won yesterday off 1lb lower, dropped in class, a further 5l back in 3rd was a previous 107 winner too, so the rise seems to be well within his capabilities, especially as he too drops in class. Bottom weight in the race, MR FITZROY is handled by Marmont’s connections, he had his first run for 10 months in late Februray and will be running off 101, two years ago he was winning off 115, beating the likes of Remiluc and others who have all been winning/racing off high 130/140 marks in class 1 and 2s. If we cling onto this thin piece of hope from 2 years ago, I would be happy to place a bet on him, we have missed the 20s, but a small stab at 14s is fine with me. I will be interested to see how Scudamore’s mount gets on, having competed very well against some good horses in NHFR’s, his price has gone from 6s to 14s, so is now considered for ew value.
