ALAN landed three of his Musselburgh bets on Sunday and is getting Cheltenham week under way with a couple of Kempton bets.

BRIGADIER showed plenty of dash to lead on his debut at Kempton last month before being overhauled in third. Robert Cowell drops him back to the minimum trip this evening and the winner of that Kempton contest, Dahawi, wasn’t disgraced when sent off favourite for a fairly hot 7f affair won by Ballistic at Wolverhampton two days ago. Physics is the most obvious danger.

GLENN COCO has been in blistering form at Chelmsford City over the winter weeks and this switch to Kempton is not necessarily a negative as he was beaten in a photo finish on his only previous visit to the track back in November, 2017.

What sort of bet could i put all these in would be best? Acumulator?
Just placepot and quadpot if placepot goes down in 1st 2 races for me.
Will add a few more for placepot purposes, mister Whittaker would be one.
They pay well at the festival and it’s more about enjoying the racing for me than betting on every race.

was on for 2 of calipto’s 3 wins this season, really likeable horse, switches off and then slices through the field, yet another step up but i will be on with you.
The day before major sporting events is the closest I get to what it felt like on Christmas Eve as a kid. One day to go! Gold Cup is fascinating. Will always remember (2009 I think) when Denman did this almighty jump and took about six lengths out of the field. What a horse he was! More legends will be made this week – let’s hope we back them all!

has anybody got any tips for the 2.50 at plumpton
i was looking at that race, and was going to tip Micquus, a winner LTO, but it was just too competitive. with in my eyes 3 of 4 in with a chance. I would probably have it 6/3 – 1 – 4 – 2- 5. not a race for making money on.

hope i didnt scare you off it, it won really nicely again. sadly my other 2 main tips didnt do anything after a good couple days.
350p SHANTUNG 3/1 is finally out after being pulled out a couple of times recently. He wasn’t totally disgraced in listed company and is 6lbs better off for his last run when 3rd over similar conditions, 0.75l behind subsequent winner off 116. He was a 12l winner over a horse who has beat 123 rated opposition. I am a little uneasy with this race, as a few horses taking class drops/are weighted to win, so bet accordingly but I will chance him.
230t URTHEONETHATIWANT 15/8 travelled nicely and kicked on well when pressured, up just 3lbs and 2f, his main rival, the Hobbs horse was being tried a lot more when falling at the last, the fact he was there at the last and has been dropped in class suggests he does rate a danger, but we stick with the selection.
730k AKAVIT 25/1 ew dangerous duo, with a winner 2 days ago,no recent form and horse seems better on turf but willing to chance at the price as can win from this mark.
1 more sleep 2 go the excitement is unreal lol xmas eve feeling doesnt even get a look in compared to Cheltenham Eve lol
