MARTA BOY (4.35) can overcome a 6lb penalty for in-form David Evans in a moderate 6f handicap at Wolverhampton.

The three-year-old was always handy before quickening away from Hotalena at Lingfield last Wednesday and meets similar opposition this afternoon.

Evans has solid each-way prospects with DACESA (4.05) in the fillies' handicap. She ran third here over a furlong longer at the end of March and occupied the same slot behind Rosemary And Thyme at Lingfield three weeks ago. The stable was on the mark at Nottingham and Brighton yesterday.

£10 free bet on BTTS at 7/1 in the R.Madrid game has made it a great day I’ll forgive Monkfish..just!!
Had a single On Echoes In The Rain but wrong stake with Monkfish. 🤷🏾
Good day anyway but 1 as per let’s you down for a great day.

Onwards to the USA “as per” ;)

Wish I had better prices but they paid off last night so …

    Will Rodgers-R7..Headtothestars 6/4
    Thistledown-R7…Strike Appeal(***) EVS
    Churchill Downs – R8….Lone Rock (*****) 5/4

    Treble pays near 10/1 Bet 365(**) 🇺🇸🐎

GL and well done the winners today

    **Repost **

2 x singles have landed nicely anf the treble landed la night so here’s hoping with the last but happy days.

    Punchestown Day 2

Not the best of days yesterday. Chacun was different class and Jessie Evans placed but the rest were disappointing.
Colreevy was outstanding but not sure what to make of both Monkfish or Envoi Allen. Maybe the hard season caught up with Monkfish but EA just didn’t look like himself, putting in some big jumps early on May have hurt him or maybe the move of stable has been a bigger factor. Either way just not the same animal.

    3.40
I had a few quid on The Great White last time and he won by 11L. He’s up 11lbs for that win but is still in here at the bottom of the weights and may still be ahead of his mark.
The race is sponsored by JP so don’t be surprised to see the green and gold in the mix either but I’ll stick to my guns.
The Great White 9/1 ew 6 places

    4.15
Of the horses with a rating Heather Rocco is clear at the weights and should be winning this. Won lto by 15L and looks progressive.
    Heather Rocco 9/4

4.50 Decimation was only beaten a neck by Ashdale Bob in a grade 2 at the start of the month and that looks the best form on offer. Blue Sari owes me after falling at the last in the Coral when he looked to be clear in 2nd but I don’t think that form is as strong and will need to find more.
    Decimation 9/4

    5.20
It wasn’t a great renewal of the Albert Bartlett but Vanillier was impressive in winning by 11L. The time though was 4 secs slower than last years race on much better ground so if you take Vanillier out of the race, the rest were awful and can’t see any of them having a say in this race either.
Gallopin Des Champs won the Martin Pipe really well and I think he will be even better over this trip. I think he’s the one to beat
    Gallopin Des Champs 5/2

    5.55
Wouldn’t put anyone off either Kemboy who won this 2 years ago or Clan Des Obeaux, but I’m sticking with Al Boum Photo who didn’t quite jump as well in the Gold Cup, but it was still a good performance and if he can jump better should be good enough to win this.
    Al Boum Photo 6/4

    6.30
I thought Kilcruit should have won at Cheltenham, but I think on this track it will be difficult for him to reverse the form. It’s also interesting that Patrick Mullins has decided to jump ship having been so bullish about Kilcruit all season.
I’m also going to take a chance on O’Toole who won his maiden bumper by 15L and has since been bought for 300K.
    Sir Gerhard 5/4…..O’Toole 25/1 ew

    7.00
Going for 2 in this race. The first is Black Op who is down to a mark of 143 and could be thrown in if he can reproduce his best form. His last 2 runs have been the Gold Cup and the King George so is back down to h’cap company today.
The other is one I put up at Aintree which is Snugsborough Hall who at 14/1 with 6 places on offer I just can’t see him out of the places. He’s a C&D winner and as I’ve said previously, is a spring horse. He’s also back down to 140 (dropped 3lbs) with a 7lb claimer on so in total is 14lbs better off with Livelovelaugh
    Black Op 8/1 6 places….Snugsborough Hall 14/1 6 places

    7.35
Grangee will probably win but is just too short for me.
I’m going to chance Manisanda who was 3rd on her first start beaten only 4L by Letsbeclearaboutit who has been 2nd to both Sir Gerhard and Kilcruit. Money already coming for this one and is best priced 10s but I still think that’s value with 4 places on offer.
    Manisanda 10/1 ew 4 places.

Well done to all the winners yesterday

  3. cobretti 3 years ago

Really like the look of Black Op too, was travelling well for a long time at Cheltenham before weakening so the drop in distance should suit. Dropped 4lb since then and now in handicap company he looks a solid e/w shout.

      Favourite looked decent!

Stradivarius at 4/6 if I was a big hitter(days are gone, fir now!?) or daft enough to give them back near half my winnings from yesterday JUST in case he loses looks easy £s the others are awful!
Any kind of fit he wins well! All know goes well fresh too.

Lengthen odds on Skybet 2l or more was tempting at 5/4 but best watch the auld legend!

I’ve got him in a speculative treble with Supremacy and Reqwaat who’s well backed while Supremacy has went very much the other way?

    Punchestown Trixie for me…

    Heather Rocco..4.15
    Decimation…4.50. 4.50
    Vanillier…5.25(***)

Also think I’ll be having a single on Kilcruit..6.30 11/8 just now and I think waiting won’t be much a differ.

    Happy Valley..3.50. 6/4( 🇭🇰 ***)
Always pretty tight these races but this horse gets one more chance after 2 close 2nds as Zac Purton stays aboard and is still improving so extra 0.5kg hopefully won’t matter.
