ALFRED BOUCHER makes plenty of appeal at Pontefract on a quiet betting day. Henry Candy’s gelding was held up before running on strongly into second spot at Newbury last September.
More aggressive tactics were employed the following month at Nottingham when Alfred Boucher led virtually throughout until nabbed right on the line. Stall two is a good draw around Pontefract’s turning six furlongs.
