TWO winners on Friday made it an 18.13pt profit for the day and September is now 16.41pts up.

The only disappointment was the nap, especially when you have the plum draw but hold the horse up at the back at a course that suits frontrunners.

Well done all other Friday winners and keep the tips coming for Saturday.

Doncaster 2:25

Aclaim looks to be getting back to his best after a good season last year which was rounded off with a win at Newmarket in the Group 2 Challenge Stakes when beating Lumiere by a length. This year wasn't the best until last time when he was a good second to Brando at Deauville in the Group 1 Maurice De Gheest and should have a good chance here.

Lingfield 5:25

Arctic Flower just loves soft ground and Lingfield, all her five wins have come on the turf here and her last four wins have had soft in the description. She can be forgiven for her last run as that came on good to firm ground but the softer conditions here should see her in the winners enclosure again.

Hi john b can’t decide between Capri or crystal ocean what’s ur thoughts ?

    • Johnb 7 years ago

I am in the camp that thinks Capri should never have won a group one and can’t believe he is favourite, O’Brien is also 2 winners from 31 runners in the last 5 years at Doncaster, saying that though it is a poor race this year and you could probably make a case for any of them, if I had to pick one of those two it would be Crystal Ocean but if I had to pick one to win it would be Coronet but not confidently

    • wn 7 years ago

Do you not like Defoe then JohnB?

    • Johnb 7 years ago

Has a chance but as I say you can make a case for any of them, it may be the oldest race of the five Classics “I say oldest race as the St Leger is not the oldest Classic, all five Classics were first run in 1815” but it’s the least important to the bigger owners which is why it’s a poor field, I just feel if you take into account form and potential then Coronet is the best horse in the race by some way but she hasn’t really shown what she is capable of yet

      cheers for that.
